Thread: Is there any defense verses a 2500 dmg head shot?

Rocks, Trees, Buildings - These are your friends. They block LOS, and if you go prone behind a rock, you can't be shot. If on a mission and you see someone come at you, assume it's an enemy. Have your radar set to 128m, and take a pro-active approach to life and you'll survive.

Oh yeah, wear a big steel hat too. Don't even cut out holes for the eyes. You'll be safer like that.

I feel obliged to address a few details and questions raised in this post...

It is certainly true that I have taken a recent liking to hunting rebels running"destroy missions"in the swamps surrounding Moenia, Naboo. I consider it an insult to see the rebels operating so openly and carelessly on the Emperor's home planet (literally in his backyard) and have taken to doing what I can to eliminate the problem. To describe my activities as "camping", however, is laughable. Camping clearly implies someone staying in one spot, killing available targets at only that spot. In the sniper spirit, I almost never attack from the same position on multiple occasions, and I typically leave my sniping location after having made a kill. I'm definitely not going to just sit there and wait for the revenge TEF to come get me.As for counter-attacking with underhand shots, I am typically just inside maximum rifle range, so if I miss on my opening shot, Icreate distance between myself and the target preventing retailation with knockdownchains.

The 2531 and 2108 damage recorded in the edited screenshot are withinthe normal output rangefor my rifle. I consistently record damage exceeding 3000. For those who are curious about the stats and type of rifle, you can give me a /tell in game and I'll provide the details. This information is classified, of course, and will only be disclosed to confirmed Imperial loyalists.

As for my character type, I am deep into the rifleman tree, and used Head Shot 3 for those shots, as 'Thebiglizard' guessed. If there are any aspiring snipers out there, I would seriously recommend getting Head Shot 3 as soon as possible.

I am pleased to see that my sniping is having an effect on the morale of rebels plaguing Moenia. Although the fetid swamps surrounding the city are clearly appropriate for habitation by terrorists and criminals, I consider any rebel presence on Naboo to be an affront to our Emperor and to the majestic beauty of Naboo. I will notrest as long as their presence is so disgustingly obvious.

Excellent post. This is exactly what snipers should be doing. Harrassing and demoralizing the enemy where ever he feels safe. What server are you playing on?

I play on the Flurry galaxy, spending the majority of the time on my home planet of Naboo. I am currently giving very serious consideration to starting a mature, role-play-oriented Imperial Player Association to be based out of Naboo. My primary sticking point is that I have almost no idea how to create a webpage for the organization, an important element for any well-run player group. If anyone is interested in the PA, please contact me in-game and I can provide a general sense of the plans that I have forit.

In the meantime, engage the treasonous rebels wherever you can, loyal Imperials. Strike fearthrough their hearts. If that fails to discourage them, strike blaster boltsthrough their heads.

Long live the Empire!
