Thread: Speed Changes on rifles and Pistols
From Devs:
The end result is that weapon/class differentiation would increase, which would allow me to enhance the functionality of each class. I could raise the damage on carbines/rifles because I would be guaranteed that they wouldn’t be fired as quickly as pistols.
Wow....sounds great...as someone mentioned previously...when do u honestly think they will get around upping the stats on the weapons??? Next year maybe???
As past history has shown, they have not even fixed the existing bugs onthe skills and specials within our tree yet...all i've seen so far are "balancing improvements" that makes the riflemen more broken...

Correct me if i'm wrong but as per my understanding, currently if you are a Master Rifle you can pretty much auto fire any rifles at speed of 1.0, since chances are the base speed on any good rifles will be lesser than 8.0...
With the proposed rifle speed cap, any weapons classified as rifles hasspeed that can only go as low as 3.0, this includes base weapon stats, slices, upgrades,and any speed bonuses u might get from the rifle spec branch...
This means that your spraystick will now fire at the speed of 3 no matter what...
Is my assumption correct???
