When an item is sliced is it just random that it does a damage slice or speed slice?

Correct, it's luck of the draw if you get a damage slice. The bad news is that I'm figuring my luck will probably run out on this next slice. The good news? I acquired enough Krayt Tissue last night to get another laser rifle made.

My rifle made with 4 krayt tissues is
dmg: 50-530
speed: 5.4
after 20% dmg Slice. with a 32% powerup it gets a max dmg of 712 i belive. Most of the rifles i buy are in the 40-390 range, with krayte tissues, more like 45-430 i think.
