The title of sniper means about as much as the title of Iron Chef. When you get the title of Iron Chef it doesn't mean you appear on T.V once a week for a cook off.

ROFLMAO!!! That is the best one I have heard yet!

If you think riflemen arent supposed to be snipers, then what does the phrase "sniping accuracy" mean ? what about the term "conceal"-shot ?

Let's see, I take cover - then use concealshot to shoot my target who can't see me, and I use my sniping accuracy to make my shots better. hmmmm......

The our complaint should be why don't lower levels in other Elite combat professions suck as much as low level Riflemen? I agree that the higher up in Rifleman you get the less sucky you are. But at Novice you are more of a target than anything else.

DocSavag...

I have to ask about your name. Is it based on the 1940's pulp hero? I read the reprints of those books that came out later and as a 10 year old kid before computers existed, I read them all and loved them. Thanks for the memory!

Sorry to get off topic....

First of all, I don't totally agree with you, but that is the funniest post I've seen in a long, long time.

Secondly, I have to say, sure, riflemen aren't the best duelers. But I think we are really good class for large raids. Let the others close ranks. Stay back and pop people. Our strength is in range. Put those mind bleeds on, people can't recover from that. And if you're advanced enough, flushing shot works wonders. I think it's ok for riflemen to have a limited role and be destroyed by pistoleers, etc. one-on-one... everyone should have a place, a niche.

Thirdly, I've killed a number of people as a novice rifleman... mindshot1 rocks. When I got mindshot2, it pretty much garaunteed anyone who targeted me would die 30-60 seconds later, regardless of how fast they killed me.

I do think the melee bug needs to be fixed, though. And if conceal shot worked against PCs, we would almost never be targeted in large confusing battles (although, again, in duels it would be still be easy to see where we were shooting from, and I think that's fine).

In summary, I think the balance is pretty good with riflemen. Just fix the goddamn bugs. Or at the very least, fix the bugs FIRST, then re-evaluate whether we are unbalanced afterwards. Don't cry about balance just yet.

Iron Chef Coreilla I choose you!!!!

Shessshh people, I'm seriously wondering what your all bitching about? I 'm 4/2/4/3 and I'm loving the hell out of it. I'm only slightly slower than a pistoleer, I deal out a helluva of a lot more dmg.

Riflemen are not solo PvP people (in my mind) They are a support role.

I think of it this way, your raiding a city. I'm not running into the city guns blazing, I'm taking covering outside, and unleashing my booom stick on anyone within range, offering support to the commando's and TKA's and helping cover doctors. I also rack up amazing DB's, In a team play enviroment, it's not how many kills you have personally, it's did we keep the city. If Mr Commando is getting bum rushed and is too busy dealing out dmg to db people, I snipershoot them for him, so he doesn't have to break his momentum. I suggest you try. It's called teamwork and organization. Something SWG lacks greatly as a whole.

Some of your points seem worthwhile; however, the idea that you should be able to shot and not be seen from 10-40m based on your lvl is total bs. Why dont we give pistoleers, bh, carbineers, and commandos and invisibility and see how worthwhile that is? Does it seem fair that you should be able to kill people in 2 shots and the other person wont be even able to find you to return a shot?
