LMAO got to love these un supported "Rifleman suck" threads. And people wonder why I say that Novice Rifleman will be the death of this profession.

140 skill points I don't want to give up: Master Ranger
92 skill points: Master Rifleman

232 skill points
14 skill points: ranged support from Marksman (don't really think that is a good idea to give up those)

Can't even buy back Pistol boxes. Having ONLY a rifle is a bad move whena Violent Krahbu teleports andkicks my ass and my pet won't be fast enough. Switching to a CDEF Pistol won't hack it ether. No, Krahbu cannot be outrun using burst run when this happens, that is 3 hits before it kicks in (their attack speed is 1.5).

I could care less about the experience grind, I actually WELCOME the fact it takes so long, makes me occupied with something as a goal(I once tried getting to TKA through Unarmed right when they moved the VK cert). Untill this warping bit is fixed or made acceptable I cannot be a Master RIfleman. Therefore, DO NOT USE THE "YOU HAVE TO BE MASTER" BIT ON ME. I don't mean to flame, but I want to bring to your attention that some of us cannot be master yet.

My plan, looking at all the data, is to get as much speed and accuracy as I can get until then. Rifleman 4/0/0/4, Brawler 0/0/4/0 as my combat professions. If someday it seems safe to go master I will, but remember I lose the sword real early in the set, however I can see dropping to rifleman 3/1/1/3 to help, but still, without that sword my journey will be fraught with danger... danger only perhaps carbineers would understand. Warning shot works once. So does suppression. After that, it's run like a girly man...

Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

"2 pet Wrix (Ajax and Artimas)"

If you had decent pets you might be able to send the pet in first.. Wrix's arecompletely useless as pets. Try a mountain krevol, or rock beetle. They will last much longer. Also, before you talk about how hard it is because of bugs, remember that the masters who post here went through the same thing also. The warping, etc. and probably even more bugs. We didn't get to have pets at all either. It is FAR easier now.

Teleporting mobs is definitely a bug, and it's something that the devs have already acknowledged as a problem.

Perhaps the easiest way to look at rifleman is to consider them to be casters (this analogy has been made before) in fantasy games. They're really support units. In the proper situations, they excel, capable of wiping out large groups by themselves, but they're fragile if proper techniques are used on them quickly enough. This is exactly where the rifleman lives. We're not necessarily great solo players (at least not with a lot of help from our other professions) but we provide a great deal of area damage support at master.

I'm not sure why master rifle/master ranger has to be a viable/effective soloing combination.

EXACTLY NOULES , EXACTLY

about the original post, yes I agree that more points should mean more DIVERSITY, not POWER

Example : Commandos can blow things away from close (flamethrower) but they also have the option to do it at long range ( rocket launcher) , they also get more different weapons like grenades they are VERSATILE , more than riflemens who can only work at long range with one weapon.

Its what more points should mean, and it should applie to BH's too : BH spend more points because they are supposed to be versatile with weapons, but since the range/accuracy stuff is totally broken, it doesnt mean much, and they are just overpowered with pistols and carbines because their specials are better and it's all that counts.
