I'd call the second one Machinegunner.

Good idea, though the idea of having to scrape up another 10 million rifle XP to master a new rifle class makes me ill... I'd have to buy a new AT-ST to tank for me so I can level!

I'd also give each line seperate weapons and skills so that they don't "stack", as is the problem with BH/Pistoleer (which they need to fix). That is, so you couldn't be a 0040 Sniper and a 0400 Machinegunner and have like +300 Rifle Accuracy or something.

Instead, the Machinegunner would get a "T-21b" or something and a "+50 Machinegun Accuracy" that only applies to the T-21b. The T-21b would take 8 seconds to setup, but once setup it fires at a rate of once a second and all attacks do cone area damage(this is when normal riflemen have been nerfed to 3 seconds...)

Ah, well, we can dream.

How about if the sniper elite elite was more of a sniper/hunter mix?

It would require Mastery in the following tiers:

Rifleman: Ranger:

Sniping AccuracyWayfaring

Concealment Tactics Tracking

This would lend the idea that The sniper/hunter class is the quiet killer type who can stalk prey. Would be an ideal set-up to implement 'off-radar' abilties (frontiering camo kits/concealment cover skills). Also it would benefit and apeal to the players who want to hunt effectively in PvE aswell as PVP with tracking abilities. Many rangers would like to go this route as it is advancement on the hunting abilities they have too. I think the close link between Ranger and Rifleman is essential to create a Person/Mob hunter class that acts alone and stalks their victims.
