Thread: Rifleman/Bounty Hunter combo???

I have had a lot of success with MBH/MR/Pistoleer 0314. It gives you improved accuracy from the x3xx line, quick draw from the xx1x line, and stopping shot and improved defenses in the xxx4 line.


With the extended respec, I have also tried MBH/MR/Carbineer 0440 and that seems to be great too. You just have to learn to play without stopping shot. Leading off with improved aim and sniper shot on a rifle combined with charge shot and the dmg shots of adv critical/leg shot/head shot on a carbine are lethal. The jury is still out for me on it, hopefully tonightI will be able to tet more and make a final decision.

Well, just so you folks know: respec into Carbineer/BH. Rifleman is pointless until Sniper/Conceal are fixed.

My previous template was Master Rifleman/Master BH/Pistoleer xxx3 and the hunting line of scout. My new template is Master Carbineer/Master BH/Master Marksman and the hunting line of scout.

Im more effective with rifles using the second tempate than the first. The additional general speed and accuracy from Master Marksman almost completely counteract the lost rifle speed and accuracy, and damage is exactly the same. Carbineer gives me a KD that works almost every time(unlike Underhand Shot), area attacks, an area snare(if they ever get it working) and a single-target snare that actually works.

EDIT: I also have more melee defense, and can actually use a Carbine well.

A MR/MBH can use a rifle fairly well and a carbine to an average degree. A MC/MBH can use a carbine exceptionally well and a rifle just as well as a MR/MBH.

My future template is going to be master rifles, master bounty hunter, pistols 0x04 (depends if I'm going to actually grind that)


I now have to grind pistols 0003 and acquire 1mil rifles xp. I hope that's not too hard...


I like this cause:

-Torso shot, advanced critical, and head shot all have different timers

-I like rifles

-Longest range

-THEY MIGHT JUST FIX COVER

-Nice damage

-Stopping shot and kneecap work fine with me

-Some form of conceal shot when it sticks

-Aoes are in bh too, and I'm more of a one on oner, not really someone who areas a lot


Choose whatever you want, this is going to be my future template

for hunting jedi I prefer Mmarksman MBH Mrifle and pistoleer 0/0/0/3 for the stoping shot meaning they can't even hurt me vary well and this also does a ok job at soloing also wear your recon armor for the better energy protection since thats what sabers do now adays.

I'm Master rifles/carbs BH 4/1/3/0 and it's working great for me so far. Of course I haven't tested it an incredible amount for PvP it works amazingly in PvE. If kneecap shot worked I could solo anything before it ever got to me thanks to the speed reduction shots I have and then just spamming crit; I really don't use my rifleman specials all that much in comparison to the carb ones or BH in truth. The aoe abilities and high damage is great and if snipershot wasn't buggy I bet I could beat just about anything alone.


I lag too much to effectively test this out against my jedi friends but I was doing pretty well when you take that into consideration, and the KD shots/range increases they get on me because of it. Besides I mainly have the investigation tree for duelist stance not jedi hunting so if I'm not the perfect huntsman it's no skin off my back. I'd be happy to get some feedback and advice for this though, if anyone else has tested it out and knows a few tweaks that I didn't think of/try but so far I'm thinking this is the way to be. Plus it gives you the bestarmors since assault only really worksagainst meleeand you shouldn't be letting stuff intothat range to begin with.

Chipmunk the only real things you miss in your template are Stopping Shot & that +40 GenAccuracy you get with Pistol 0-4-0-4:



-Your temp is 192 Gen Accuracy




-My Master Rifleman/Carb/Marksmen/3-4-0-4 Pistoleer gets a wopping: 260 Gen Accuracy


-And MyMaster BH/Carb/0-4-0-4 Pistoleer gets: 215 Gen Accuracy (The exact same as a Master Rifle instead of Carb).




My old Template Master Commando/Rifleman/4-0-4-0 Smuggler had similar gen accuracy(180) and I choose to dump it because:


1) I missed often, once every 4 shots

2) My damage stunk


So basically what I'm saying is Pistoleer X-4-X-X is indispensible in any template because of Gen accuracy. Sure Duelist Stance is a nice new COB but if your going BH you have to have pistoleer X-4-X-X (As in any good template) and unfortunately Carbineer like you said is just more useful then Rifleman(So if going any template, why master RM over Carb?).


You could try: Master Carbs/4-0-0-0 BH/0-4-0-4 Pistoleer/4-0-3-0 Rifleman which gives you 215 gen accuracy all those wonderful specials from carbineer, duelist stance, Startle Shot our best shot, Disarm shot pistoleer's delay, and stopping shot. I'm not sure if you get to CL 80 by doing this though




-If you want to continue being a Master Rifleman, and I'm sure you do, the only real template to take then is the Super Elite Dulex: Master Rifleman/Carb/Marksmen/3-4-0-4 Pistoleer, you lose out on Duelist Stance but come on, if everyone uses a special, it will be nerfed anyway.....

master rifles, 4410 BH, 4003 doc. I'm CL 75 but own pvp. Really ownpve when grouped with an 80. Solo'd a master defender jedi with this template
