Unless area damage kills every master BH and pistoler in one shot it doesn't matter in PvP. The Area of affect shots are very nice and getting one off before I get killed does provide some joy.

And yes, I'm a novice rifleman, a novice 4004 rifleman so all I'm missing combat wise is the master square since the middle two lines are defensive lines. I have all the speed benefits (+75 rifle speed) accept the 20% awarded at master. Still, with my 5.9 speed laser I can get one master head shot off every 4 seconds. That Last 20% can get me down to one or two seconds per shot but other professions don’t need do that to hit the one second barrier. And at that speed I wouldn’t be able to use a special after 6 to 8 seconds even with an 1100 mind stat. So spending the extra 29 skill points to still get whacked at max distance by a master BH or pistoler 90% of time doesn’t seem worth it to me.

As for whether the person using the stopping shot is a master pistoler or not, it's irrelevant to my point. All I can say is they also used eye shot which means they were a master BH, and stopping shot requires at least 0030. I'm not all that concerned with the damage they were doing. If they paid for a +149 damage Kryat tissue and put into their gun, all the power to them.

What I'm concerned about is the range. Personally I'd like to see the tactics and physics resemble those found in the real world just a bit more. Three people with handguns charging a semi competent rifleman from 180 feet should result in three dead people. Four people charging should result in three dead people and one dead rifleman. One person sneaking up behind a rifleman should result in one dead rifleman. Five riflemen over run by two people with handguns should result in five dead riflemen. You give some one a 9mm and someone else a AR-15 and put them 180 feet apart 99.9 percent of the time the result will be the same. But my experience in this game has routinely been quite opposite to this.

If you disagree with this, that's fine and your opinion. If you think one class should dominate in all aspects of PvP combat, fine that’s your opinion as well. And if you think master whatever should always win battles against anyone lower regardless of tactics strategy or execution that is also your opinion and I'll respect that. But inferring that I'm idiot novice rifleman just belittles whatever your point actually is.

Personally I would like to see a little more depth of strategy in PvP other than who choose the right profession and has leveled it more. Would anyone here honestly recommend rifleman to someone who wanted to PvP all the time?
