So you want to know the rifle changes...

Fine. You guys can trash A'rien all you want. I've seen the correspondant forums too. The deal was when the devs were messing with the new Forum colors, they made everyone on the forums the CM correspondant for about 45 minutes. We got in and looked around. This is what we found:

- 3 second speed cap for rifle. 1 second for pistols, 2 for carbines.

- Defense reduction. The numbers being tossed around were on par with TKA. 55 or so Ranged and 20 Melee. This I could deal with without much complaint.

- The kicker. Shot modifier reduction. Strafe2 being dropped to 4x. The rest of our AOE's dropping to 3x.
THats a 20% damage reduction for Strafe2, and 25% for the other shots. In addition to a 66% reduction in DPS on top of that with the 3 second cap.

Now, yeah, I agree A'rien can be a bit overbearing at times. In fact he can be a jerk to those people he doesn't like. But the dudes been coming and posting since Beta, he was the second Master on Tarq, and if there is ANYONE in this game that knows rifleman, it's him.

Maybe it's just me, but there are very few people willing to hear him out on this. I'm actually glad you asked, at least you have a somewhat open mind about it. The reason A'rien won't send this out is mainly because Garva's got his hand over the Ban button for him. So I'm all too happy to spread the news. Honestly, I saw more posts form the Carbineer Correspondant arguing against the hard speed caps than I did Klawglena.

I don't think Klaw has done a bad job, but he could be doing a lot better. He was very passive in those forums about all the changes, and just seemed to accept them without a fight. That's the main reason A'rien is ticked at him. He goes over and moans and cries on the Jedi boards for changes, but when it comes to riflemen, he doesn't seem to give a **edit**. =(
