Thread: rifleman speed cap? nerf?

All a speed cap will do is make eye shot be the 1 shot per second killer over HS 3 and Gorax/Krayted Tangles/Geo's over the Jawa.


A speed cap will not bring balance just make a new top dog.

Itwould be just like the Devs to OVERNERF something. A 3-2-1 cap system would be ridiculous, effectively taking a rifleman's DPS down by a factor of 3, while leaving pistoleer's untouched, when right now, the DPS differential between the three classes is not that great. If anything, it should be more like 2/1.5/1.


Why not just change the number of speed bonuses each profession gets? Why do riflemen get +90 speed at master, when carbineers only get 60?

I think pitoleer is a good enough profession. A pistoleer can be good if the pistoleer is willing to spend the time and energy to find a Geon. Sonic Blaster.


WIth the new change in Rifleman. It will be dangerous for rifleman to expose to a master carbineer. So stop crying nerf.

Ive been a Master Rifleman before and after it became the flavor of the month. There should be a speed cap, BUT only if they extend our range. Im all for a 3 second cap at 75m attack range. Its all about balance, and alot of you dont seem to understand that other than eye shot we can attack the mind pool directly. Yea they can get brandy, muon or a dancer/musician buff,but thepoint is that it remains unhealable by the player. Where as pistols and carbineers focus on a Health/Action pools that can be healed as well as the opponent being buffed as high as 3k per pool. C'mon guys do the math. Even if there specials are fixed they are still unable to compete with the Rifleman class, hell Carbineers cant even compete with our defenses. As I said before 3 sec cap at 75m, Im all for it.

Your joking right? Since block was added to the Game never Once have I ever Blocked anything, maybe 1 out of 3000 shots against me I might counterattack or dodge. but Never seen Block prove that it works

Ive been master rifleman for several months and never blocked a thing.
Holo said Pistoleer and even when I got the 1st box of that I was dodging like a pro.

you riflemen get block so dont say any thing about dodge and also you dont need kd defence lol its useless any more with +100 kd defences food, and with my 330 dam geonosian pistol i cant out damage a jawa with eye shot lol there are jawas on my server up to 754 damage, although i do think 3 seconds is to long 2 might be better but its needed because as it stands there is no diffrences with any ranged professions that matter besides damage. so no reason to be a pistoleer unless you wanna do 400 dam witha republic that gets eaten bye armor any way.

Ok pistoleer that don't understand.


Rifleman's stomach is FULL from foods to help SHOOT the gun. Sure we can eat the anti KD food, and stand around, because we'll shoot our mind out.


NOW, if you're wearing stun armor, which if you PvP its required, the jawa is pretty much useless and you must switch to one of a few good guns. Until recently, ALL shooting energy. Now the DXR6-b is out and YAY we have acid.


So, if we want to be offensive, we pop our muon and mindbuff and brandy and still shoot our mind out. So take your eyeshot and add 100dmg to it, because thats what our mind drops every second we shoot. So you can KD us, Dizzy us and shoot our mind out at the same rate. Also have MANY more different types of weapons to choose from.


So our only real offensive weapon is to incap you before you hit KD/Dizzy.


Now the can't hit riflemen is BS. I'm a pure rifleman without any other combat profession. I get hit ALOT. I have attcked other riflemen (pure PvPer) with stacked defenses and I hit 1 out of 20 with master accuracy. When a rifleman is standing, his defenses are the lowest. PvP its hard to go prone because everything moves so fast, AND the dizzy factor.


So before everybody crys nerf, fix the stacking, and the melee bonus and THEN see how riflemen perform. You'll see a huge difference.
