The Corellian Corvette dungeon is not Imperial only, not sure where you got that from.

Pretty sure the corvette is going to be just like the geo cave meaning it will be live 2 weeks after the patch.

Eh? That wouldn't make much sense for it to be blast damage.. that would make commando a lot more useless... and you could destruct at-sts without a problem... dont you guys have enough damage types already?

It is called the Imperial Corellian Corvette because that is what it is and that is what it is full of.
From everyone I have spoken to on test , it is a loot drop on all three alignment missions like the new speeder, and rare.

from what i understand from TH's post is that there are 3 different story that go along with the corvette depending on your faction. I do believe it is only rewardedby the imperial story line given how it's stated in the patch note (also it's says it occasionally drops it so it may be rare)but since your entire group gets "shuttled" to the corvette and everyone gets rewarded (see march 8th TC patch notes) for a rebel to do the imperial missions shouldnt be hard. Just group with an imperial and run the first prerequisite missions with him, then help him out if you can during the dungeon part. Even imperials may have to run it a few times to get the rifle schematic, if players are allowed to run it more then once.
