Thread: After hitting master I decided to do some PvP, heres my experience..
i hate pets vs rifelmen
i get one hitted by guerrecks, those cat creatures that move at lightspeed
i cant fight with a 5k HAM mob during PvP. I wont hit them while they're charing me at close range, I dont have knockdowns, I cant fire fast enough for warning shot which doesnt always work and i dont do as much damage as BH and Commando.
/unequip rifle
/take hit
/equip spraystick
/warningshot
/count 1 mississippi
/warningshot
/count 2 mississippi
/unequip spraystick
... repeat from step #2 as necessary.

I know you just called it a food but I wanted to make sure it wasn't a drink, as I'm currently looking for a drink that gives a decent +focus. (Looking for over 300 really.)
The best Breath of Heaven drink I have is with about +440 on focus, strength and quickness.
The Master Chef I use told me if I brought he some domesticated meat she could make me some really good food which ups will/focus.
I'll get some soon and post if it is anygood.

First of all, Im also Master Marksman with 1,2,0,3 in CH too using a Grand Wrix.
I teamed up with two friends and head of to bestine only three of us determined to kill some imps.
Im using my T21 and I am litterally killing every thing. Ready or not ready for me they went down.
I had to use moun gold and Breath of Heaven and not wearing armor all the time to be competitive.
It was quite a kick, it didn't matter if they were 2-3 every one got hit with StrafeShot2. Even killed a Master Commando lots of times.
At this point i felt unstoppable. But then some pet came and killed me in one hit.
Now my conclusion is that, yes we are very powerfull at Master - and yes the 2.5x melee damage is annoying when leveling but I actually feel its appropriate now.
If the 2.5x goes, we are just too powerfull. Of course there should be a way to kill us. Thats not counting us killing ourselves of HAM costs.
All in all some really good fights I had. And for once, I feel the 2.5x penalty is in place.
Yup we are rather good in PVP. Makes me laugh when ppl say riflemen are gimps. We are deadly mean as long as you know your job is to sit back and kill and not get in someone's face. Let pets kill me all day though you do not lose faction that way
Yeah we can pvp out in the open ok I guess, because we can attack from the distance we want. In cities it's a totally different matter, though. And if they're buffed or armored, it's a lot tougher.
Though I think it's better for us now with norevenge TEFs, since people can't come upandfight with us at point blank range.
Samix Duel
"Nobody said it'd be easy...."
i would like to be able to truly snipe though. that was the reason i picked rifleman. not for strafe 2.

We only got one three marked "Sniper" the rest is Hunter, Gunner and Soldier.
Of course you can snipe with strafe2, sometimes when Im picking Imps at the Bestine fort I get a target who I can tell just really wants to kill me, I kneel down and wait for him. I watch him run towards me and when he is in range! WHAM! He don't know what hit him
And the one saying stuff about buffs; I met a Master Doctor and Expert Warfare Chemist picking Rebels outside AH they were both buffed to about 3k health/action. I checked their mind saw like silly 600 mind on both. Ran down and shot 2-3 headshot3 on both of them. Thats it.
Of course my own mind was at 0 too after 6 HS3, but thats another talk. I won
As a 2/4/4/0 Doctor and Master Rifleman, I can enhance all health/action stats to 2000-3000 each. Add in the musician/dancer buffs, mind stats can be upwards of 4000/2200/2200 when combined with muhon gold/food/drink (might be bug on the way this currently works.) I've noticed that specials cost no mind anything past 1500 focus.
So what that means in PvP is that I'm pretty much unstoppable in non city combat. If I do get incapped by some chance, I'm only down for about 5 seconds due to doctor buffs. Combined with a full set of composite armor, I feel this is the ultimate combo. Only bad thing is, finding master dancers/musicians and getting yourself prepped for combat does take time, which many people aren't willing to do.
Strafe2 does ~ 200-1000 damage in PvP at a speed of about 2.0. Headshot3 doing ~ 200-700 per second. All while sniper shot keeps you away from the action.
0/0/0/0 Rifleman and 30k to go to 1/0/0/0
I've never used a pet for pve grinding, and I've made it pretty far. I hunted with 5 other guildies last night on endor: A cm, two bh's, a fencer, and a ch. I easily out-xp'd them all. A lot of guys here complain about how we can't solo bh's and commandos...it's because we are a support class, not the main class. Now, if there are tankers up front of us, we should be owning the enemies' tankers as long as we don't get hit. just my opinion.
I'm also pro 2.5x melee, and pro 3s cap, BUT ONLY IF WE GET HIGHER DAMAGE ON OUR RIFLES.
