Thread: Riflemen Are Snipers: How About Giving Us Skills That Will Allow Us To Actually Snipe?

Like I said up there, people are going to think whatever they want. If a person is a rifleman, but consider themselves a freaking shoe salesman, more power to ya! It's your game, think and play what you want. In your case, fine you are a sniper. In my case, I lay waste to hordes of enemies in my way by spraying their bodies with hot AOE blaster fire. I am a soldier.
All things considered, I don't even think the devs know what we are "supposed" to be.

I could not agree more with the issue regarding sniping - why even have a sniping tree and the title "sniper" if there is no possible way you can snipe.
A large part of this is the rediculously low range of 64m (the range a pistol can fire from as well). If, as I am told, this is the maximum allowed by the game engine (and if so why? - a game with guns and a maximum possible range of 64mseems flawed from the outset)then to give us the ability to snipe the range on pistols / carbines etc must be reduced.
I think a large part of the problems endured by us rifleman is down to the fact we have skills that would be useful over range but that range is not an option available to us. How many shots can you get off with the average T21 before you are run down?

That all depends..... who attacked first?
BTW our Hunter line revolves around sniping, the conseal part.... Sniping evolves around accuracy. Counter sniping well in theory evolves around sniping, best way to stop a sniper is with a sniper... thats what they say...
Thats 3 of our 4 trees conserning sniping... Well you can argue counter sniping so lets compramise2.5 of our 4 tress are sniping relatedLOL
Plus rifles will give up on many other issues they are figting if we get this...

yeah thats an old post of mine i dont know what happened to my other post.
Basically a new Sneak (we will call it Creep)could be implemented thats faster then Crawl/walk but Slower then Run.
You would be Stealth From 55m+ this is were the limitations come in. Basically a Sniper would have to know where his target would be ... it really wouldn't be viable to Trek across Corellia inCreep ... unless you have a lot of time.
But say you know that theres a Reb/Imp base near you can get within 250m of it and Creep the rest of the way.
