I am a respec Rifleman so be nice to me

I was hunting Hurtons over the weekend for an order of wooly hide.

I noticed that my cover broke consistantly when the mob got to within 20m of me.

I was using Ranger camouflage so I don't know if this had an impact.

My best was 5 conceal shots, the creature would be 21-25m from me after the 4th conceal shot . This happened a few times. Worst was 3 conceal shots. Mostly I would get 4 off.

I was finishing off with head shot till the creature died.

I guess my problem with the whole cover/conceal shot thing is it is no different than hitting the mob with a sniper, sniper, finish up combo. There should be some reason to use it other than to pull a single mob from a group. If that'sall it does in PvE, that's fine, as long as it has some use in PvP, orvice-versa. Iknow Cover itself has PvP value for taking yourself off the radar andconceal shot shouldkeep that from changing. Ibelieve anything that works that way in PvPwould have somevalue against mobs as well, but if not, fine, I just want to know that's how it isor if it's simply broken now.

There is a difference - with sniper shot they immediately charge with conceal you generally get 2 freebies and the third (or when the timer is up) always aggros the creature.

general rule. 2 conceals + a sniper shot to begin combat gives you a significant damage advantage vs the target.

That is absolutely untrue. I can Aim, Sniper, Sniper before they charge. That is two attacks before they attack and this happens EVERY time. It's not like it changes from mob to mob. I use that sequence on every single attack and it never fails. If I conceal shot, I can get two attacks from 60+ meters before they attack in exactly the same manner.

I go aim, sniper, sniper, stopping shot, sniper, sniper, kipup and finish if necessary.

Just want to add that anything (vehicles, other players, other creatures) that comes within 30m of your position will break cover. This will change for your group members (don't know if it includes their pets and vehicles) with pub 20.

ImpDoc, thnx for posting ur test results.

after all this talk about mobs and conceal, i think that the intended use for cover and conceal must be for pvp. do mobs care if ur on the radar or not when they can smell u out?
