avoid the anti-spice downer 'Smugglers Delight' for the mo.. just did some research and its not working currently.. whilst it does clear the downer from the buff bar in a shorter time.. the downer effects still remain for the normal 3m30s duration.
go figure.. something didnt get tested properly by SOE.. who'd ave thunk it...
