Thread: Why did master have to be so good!

I'm with you there Cyborg, I love my Master Rifleman TKM. I was even hunting on Dath the other day with a Rifleman Holo grinder. When I trained him in master he couldn't believe it. He didn't want to drop master rifleman after he got it and was looking to drop other things. Just remember that Rifleman is good by itself, but isn't as good without TKM to go with it.

BTW, Rifleman isn't that hard to level up, Cyborg is proof of that. It may have been hard back in the day of warping mobs and 2.5xdmg, but those days are over. I believe any profession can be leveled in less than a week if you have the resources and help. My roomate is doing the holo grind and was able to master armorsmith in 7 days, carbine in 3, brawler in 3, Ranger in 4 (this includes all of master scout), and squad leader on a Saturday. It took me 3 months to get to master rifleman, but that was because it was my first profession and I was just starting the game. I was amazed at how easy it is to actually master any profession once you know what you are doing. Hopefully Cyborg can get his jedi before they switch the jedi path. I would hate to see all that time and energy wasted. Good luck man.

No it's not hard now. But a few months ago, it was agony to level through it, even power leveling. I started Rifleman 3 weeks after launch, it took me a little over 3 months to master. Hard, uhh, yeah you missed more than you hit, you took 2.5x the damage just because you held a rifle, you were lucky to find a t21, and HAM costs were crippling, I accually committed suicide many times by entering combat killing myself faster than my enemy was. So yeah, it WAS one of the most difficult prof to master, aside from commando, which literally didn't work.

How many professions have you done now Cyborg? I had similar problems with a few professions in my list of grind profs. Although I surrenderedskills very quickly it was still difficult. I have found that the more professions that I do the easier it is to surrender the skills that I like so much. I am now working on Rifleman, I hope it is as easy to give up.

I doubt it though. Masters seem to love it.

Take some advice from a jedi. My main is a master rifleman and I love it. Your wasting your time trying to get jedi. Its boring and broken. I have tons of fun playing my master rifleman. I can go take out imps and pvp all day. My jedi is nothing but a animal killer. A complete bore. Save yourself the grind and enjoy your rifleman. Jedi is broken and boring. And to everyone who is going to say, "then let me have him",I use him for lots and a second mule. Thats about all they are good for at this point in the game. Now the rifleman is very usefull now. Until they nerf it like they do everything good in the game. You will have lots of fun with him.

Yes I know it was harder before but they guy I replied to did seem to think it was still hard. All proffesions I have done have been easy except the BH Investigation line, now thats hard with all the bugs and none working missions.

I forgot about that investigation line Cairn.

I stated that any profession was possible to master in less than a week. Bounty Hunter with the investigation line might be one exception. I remember helping my friend do a couple missions and it took over an hour to do those two. This was also when there were a lot of bugs with the missions and the marks wouldn't spawn. I know this tree is very time consuming, but even that can be done pretty quickly, look at Barb, she just dropped rifle and only has 1 box left to get in BH.

If I remember correctly the Evil 'Dev' tower of Mordor is turning it's eye toward the rifle proffession, and taking away everything that we love about being Master Rifleman. Someone confirm this.

Last time i checked, tka will be nerfed more then rifleman. Tka is like frodo and rifleman is like sam. We will both get nerfed, but the tka's will get the worst of it.

Actually i dont believe either is really getting nerfed. Only thing getting nerfed is the defenses which is straight out rediculus in the first place. Ranged Defense and Melee Defense stacking is FotM as you play in God mode. But when its capped everything will be in place almost with the exception of rifleman's speed which needs to be lowered IMO.

any proffession can be done in less than a week if you grind hard and have the time...I hate to admit it but im starting a new job next week and in my "time off" instead of going on a trip or something I grinded rifleman, ranger, squad leader, and master entertainer in one week...how pathetic is that..its like a sickness

Don't feel bad, on my vacation I was susposed to go snowboarding at least 4 times, instead I went once, and stayed home grinded Carbineer with my remaining time.
