Thread: Single Pull Ability == Worthless
I think you even would have time to stack another bleed if you didnt like the damage you got on one of them.

If you are firing fast enough, you can actually completely kill some targets in a group without using Concealshot if you take it down quckly enough. For instance, last night I spammed headshot2 into a factional enemy NPC that was in the midst of a group of other enemy NPCs. I killed him in 3 or 4 shots (definintely more than 2), and although I was TEFed, no one noticed me, and there were some other enemy NPCs in range.
In my experience, prone and undetected, you have a good chance of getting off 3 shots with the right rifle (i.e. you are fast enough with it), especially if the first two are bleeds, and still get up and out of range before they aggro because of the bleeds.
I've noted that if you kill them on the 3rd shot, you won't get aggro. I've also noted that if you've taken two shots on its friend from prone (and missed both times) or fought one of it's friends and peaced out of combat... that friend may then aggro you along with the new target you're trying to pull. If you do get aggro that way, you're likely to get the rest as well. Not sure about landing more than 3 shots without aggro though - I don't think I've tried it that often.
Oh, and if you're a CH, don't have your pet set to guard. It will ruin the pull.
So let me just sum this up and make sure I got it right.
Apply my bleed to a creature who is in the middle of his good buddies.
Then peace.. go out about 100 meters from it.
Then when he agros on me he's frineds will NOT.. is that correct?
At that point I can send in my tank and finish the **edit** off..
Am I on target?
in my uses of this tactic, you have to be prone for the initial bleed shot.
so go prone, mindshot the target, get up and run away a bit.
when the bleed kicks in, the target comes after you.
when the target is in range, kill it, you most likely will not even need something to tank, provided it is not a huge target.
the big thing is to make sure that the target does not actually engage you or you shoot at it for non-DOT damage within 64m of his buddies, just to make sure they do not agro
it works pretty well, but it does not work all the time
capnkill,
If you go prone, mindshot1, then mindshot2, peace, walk away, go prone again before the bleed hits, you won't need a tank at all for NPCs in the 5-10k HAM range.
I'm 1003. Currently I'm doing faction missions. I use my non-CH pet, and a probot to get higher payout missions, and to soak odd aggro.
I do as above, plus as the NPC comes running into range, I do Aim+Dizzy, until the npc shows the dizzy icon. Then I peace, get up and go outside 64m. The NPC will get up to chase you, and get knocked on his butt. I then let the bleed get him to 1 mind... this is the kicker -- hmm, literally.... I put away my rifle, walk up to the knocked down opponent and punch him dead in one hit. This yields about 5 more faction for me per target, because I lack any kind of brawling skill.
Often one of my pet takes the blame from the bleed and I have to call it out of combat, so I can land the melee killing blow!
On the "2 extra shots" bit. It's not a given number of shots you get free. Each shot the target survives has a chance of getting you noticed. If you look at the facing of the target, or his buddies, you can almost estimate when they'll aggro. If a shot, any shot, kills the target before it notices you, there is no Bring-A-Friend message sent out. It's a clean kill! If you peace after each shot, you increase your chances of remaining undetected. This works well at around 60-64m mark.
I've been able to lay down 5 bleeds, on three targets before being detected. MS1+MS2 on first, MS1+MS2 on second, and MS2 on third. Comes down to how many times you can fire in the 20 seconds till the first bleed hit. I rather use the 20 secs to get away though... I'm patient.
0001 for single target
0003 for area effect, which when it works, is quite amazing.
Have been working up TK a bit so have been using the bleeds alittle more again. Typically for 3 mob sharnaff lairs, I can get mindshot 1 and 2 on all 3 mobs, including re-applying to get higher damage rollsbefore the first tick of the bleed on the original mob (usually have to hit each mob 3 to 6 times if I want really good bleeds). Shoot so fast at master that I have to peace after each individual shot to make sure Idon't getan auto-fire attack in the mix.
