Well, Riflemen at 97 speed or above are also very few in numbers. 90 speed riflemen arent so hot either when they "spam" specials every 3 seconds. One of my guildies is a Pikeman and she has spent less money on tapes than I have and PWNS me in a duel every single time. I am a 98 speed rifleman with +182accuracy, +20 accuracy while moving. Suffering from intense bleeding, fire, poison, and disease to all 3 pools is quite devestating. Her 900 damage LVA is also pretty good for finishing me off....

God willing, it'll stay that way And just stay out of range of your Pikewoman friend and you'll be fine- no profession can compare to their DoT weapons (except Doctors )

andyy,

/sigh.....BHs need a 10x modifier........psych! They need it like Pistoleers need a 3 sec cap, sheesh. A good MBH can beat a MR, but due to imbalances which will be fixed in the combat revamp, it doesn't happen as much as it could/should.

As for rifle accuracy, you do know that rifles are as accurate0m as pistols are at 64m, right? You should.

Edited for spelling.

Get the hell outta my forum!

You think FOTM's come here, I was a friggin rifleman when the grind was harder then Master BH, Investigation line with low XP and massive bugs included! You don't know crap until you grind through a profession with MOB Warping and 2.5 melee damage, oh and I only had a DL20a for most of that grind because it took months for link-steel to spawn!

Pain in the ass kids!

Harder than Bh investigation? hahhahaha. Try doing investigation without vehicles that took longer than the whole rifleman profession.

Like I said Harder, try finding MOB's that don't BAF without a Vehical!

Oh and most of my Destroy missions were empty Waypoints also, that was a common bug back then

2.5 melee and Mob Warping beats the hell outa buggy missions and crapy XP as disadvantages go.

I've been a rifleman and a BH, and while the Rifleman grind is hard, its nothing compared to what the Investigation grind was like back in the days before vehicles and the increase in Investigation XP. Having a simple destroy mission waypoint be empty is a heck of a lot different than tracking a mark for over an hour while spending 30k on tracking droids only to find that the mark is flagged as unattackable when you finally reach your destination. As for the 2.5 melee damage mod and MOB warping, those were annoying, but back in the early days of Investigation, before buffs and uber armor, there were plenty of BHs who would routinely spend 30 minutes to an hour tracking down a single mark only to be one-shotted before they managed to hit the mark even once.

Become a Doc then. This stuff doesn't bother me much at all.

Personally, my rifle rarely comes out much these days. I save it for the guild events and the odd bit of PvP (if I must). In a way I am looking forward to the combat rebalance so they can nerf our glorious proffesion and all the many many new FOTM rifleman will go off and become a ????? (insertyour own idea of what the super combat profession will be). Then I will dust off the weapons cabinet and proudly hold my T21 again.

ive heard this sh!t so many times its not even funny... roughly 1/3 of the skill points you spend (ie: master scout and investigation) are non-combat... thats like me saying "because im a musican, i should get huge damage bonuses"

to be breif, your class does some unique things, such as bounty missions, we do ours, such as aoe ownage and snipershot.

That's why I'm going MRM / 4.3.0.0 BH. The best of both professions and the Carbine KD compliments MRM very well.

Oh ya, and it took me till DECEMBER starting from day 2 (we don't talk about day 1) to make master. Can you BH say it took you that long? Mmmm? Yes, it was harder.

I'm just screwin with ya guys, ya that's a itch when you spend 1 hour looking for a mark and you can't even get the XP.

But MOB warping and 2.5 melee was no joke either, ontop of that I was a Human and our Max Focus used to be 500 points.

Lets just agree that the game was much harder in the beginning for all professions.......... (Pysco looks like he's about to pick another fight) Except for pistoleers! Bastards with their FGW5's and pistol whip!

Fred, you are sooooooo full of it.......I been in this game since the end of Beta 2 & MBH has always been the hardest grind in the game (with the possible exception of Jedi). Did you only play on the 3rd saturday each month or something?

And before you start spouting off and flaming me YES i am a MRM, have been for some time with one of my alts, and while it was awkward in the early stages it was NEVER that bad.

Master Headshot from a decent stock T21 is awsome, with one of the uber looted T21's it's a one-shot deal. Get over yourself and wait for the nerfba....errr combat balance

it's ok you can say it, everyone knows it's all a big NERF to balance things out. Like my idiotic friend says, if there's a cripple and a guy that is ok, it's easier to break the ok guy's leg than to heal the cripple. It's the sad reality I just hope the devs dont resort into a big leg breaking bananza instead of fixing the few prof that could use some balancing.

YES! I SAID FEW! beleive it or not, there is an invisible line of balance. Fencer isnt overpowered, their stunbaton is AP0 any composite armor will already cut their damage in half and even more if you have stun protection (no I'm not a fencer) but they have good defense mods to compensate for their lowered damage. TKM's arent overpowered, most composite is 80% kinetic protection anyway and as soon as us TKM's get the razorknucklers, most composite has 60% protection to heat, still very high. Pistoleer isnt completely broken, they have awesome defense mods good speed, and a move that hits your opponent with the butt of your pistol. But they need some fixes here or their.

Sadly commando is a prof then need a full revamp. Rifleman isnt overpowered, on the off chance a rifleman misses they could simply be rushed and taken down. Balance in ALOT of professions is here, people just look at the surface and no deeper so they think there is no balance. Dont flame, just felt you guys should know the truth.

Yeah there are way too many of those going around, I just picked up my 5th Legendary T21 myself, wait nevermind these are rare and there are like 3 to 5 around in all the galaxies combined. Oh half of them are sitting on some Weaponsmith's wall.

Jebus you get one shot once and blame it on Legendary Rifles that is a good one.
