Thread: HOLY XP, Batman! Can this be right?
How in the hell do you make 30k in 10 mins?!?
I'm fighting wolf kimas on talus right now and they give about 1250 a kill, and using headshot 2 I can kill one in about 2 minutes. That's obviously a little over 6000 every ten minutes. And I thought I was doin pretty good this way.
I'd love to hear how you made 30k in 10 minutes.
Just find something to kite =)
30k xp in 10 mins is my current best, with the right camp it's easy to clear 100k+ and hour, just happens finding the right camp is the tricky part, and i only figured it out after i got to <Sniper>, which is as far as i plan on going ![]()
There are a lot of little tricks to get down to optimize your xp gain, once you get em life is great, albeit a grind nonetheless.

Once you get into the rifleman profession a little and all you are concerned with is xp, you can head to Dantooine like everyone else. I know I'm master so my xp flies a bit faster then yours might, but doing my xp grind for force sensitive skills Ihit my900k rifle xp capin just over an hour on Dant.

Mmkay, next logical question being, is my xp per hour too low? I know they don't want everyone being uber-snipers in 4 hours. At the same time, I may want to, I don't know, actually do something ELSE than shoot womprats for the next 500 hours. Try different characters, professions, whatever.
What are you averaging in xp, and what is a reasonable amount to try for per hour? I've heard everything from 6k to 22k in 45 minutes.
HOW much were those master riflemen on ebay?
Okay, you're looking at this from the perspective of a brand new player...and I'm going to guess that you are. There is nothing wrong with that, but I can assure that the leveling procedure in this game is not nearly as daunting as it appears. I mastered Rifleman in about a week....Teras Kasi mastery took me about 12 hours...lol.
Anyway, I'm going to assume you're currently plugging womprats around Mos Eisley; great place to start, but this is not the way to level quickly. Here's the cut and dry of grinding through rifleman:
-Save up enough money to get a decent set of composite armor, or a really good set of ubese. In either case, you're going to want 80% kinetic resistance or something fairly close. The best way to do this without the aid of a friend or PA is to find a non-solo group and just run missions..it takes a while, but you will make cash.
-Get some extra cash saved up to buy a case of Bio-Engineered Vasarian Brandy and some Cagnerian Canape or Ahrisa; these foods all buff your mind and are the staple food of any rifleman. Without these foods (or mind buffs) you will wreck your mind using your own special attacks.
-Head to Coronet on Corellia, Theed on Naboo or the Mining Outpost on Dantooine and look for a doctor who is selling buffs. Pay the doc what they are asking and get buffed. You will now have much better Health and Action stats and be able to equip a full suit of composite armor.
-Go to the Mining Outpost on Dantooine and get in a solo group. Look for quenker or huurton missions and get ready to grind. Grinding through rifleman is monotonous, but this is one of the better ways to do it. With solo-group quenker missions, let's look at some basic math. Quenks pay out about 3000k xp per creature. In a solo group you should get about 12-18 creatures per lair. Let's just use 15 x 3000 for example. One lair will get you about 45000 xp and should take you about 20-30 minutesto clear out if you have Novice Rifleman and a half-decent gun. As you level up, the creatures will die faster. Keep hunting these creatures by way of the mission terminal and you will see that you can rip through Rifleman at a decent pace and make a few credits on the side.
-Notes on weaponry: The Laser Rifle is arguably the best rifle to grind with. It does good damage, had medium armor piercing, and has a modest reload time. The T21 may hit harder because of the AP3, but, I don't think you should start using it until you get some better rifle speed and accuracy. Once you have at least 2 boxes in Sniping and Rifle Abilities, the T21 becomes a more viable option, but only if it's speed-sliced.The Spraystick may seem wimpy (and it is) but it shoots lightning fast, so you will still be putting out some modest damage. The DXR-6b, in my opinion, is the best rifle in the game, and once you have Counter-Sniping 2, I recommend purchasing one. Also, try to get all of your guns speed sliced for the grind. The faster you shoot, the more damage you pile on, which means things die faster. Once you're a Master, switch to damage sliced weapons.
The Rifleman grindcan be along one, but it's a great profession that is useful in a variety of game situations, from PvP to PvE. While the XP requirements look scary, I can assure that it will not take you 500 hours to level if you take some of the advice from the people posting on this board. And just remember, all of the elite professions have similar requirements ar far as XP goes, so don't think the grass is necessarily greener on the other side. If you hunt smart, most combat professions can be mastered in a few days ofgame time...just stick with it. ![]()

10k per hour!!! lol wow u must really suck
thats killing 10 tusken commoners in one hour, wow thats soo bad
and whoever said that killing small creatures is better, wow ur wrong
if u want alot of xp from going from rifles 2-riflemen, get buffs and go to the tuskan fortress or the beatle caves near mos eisely
If you listen to the guy who said get small xp, hes right if ur setting up a combat macro, because u wont die
SickMonkey ShadowFire Mos Kryate, Tatooine
Rifles 1-3, shoot crap around coronet
Rifles 4 and novice rifleman, go to the krayt graveyard
Get the leftmost tree of rifleman first, it add's accuracy and what not, get a T21 with a nice speed slice and keep putting 32% speed powerups on it.
Go to dant, kill quenkers till your about 3003 than kill huurton stalkers
