Thread: Just delete your rifleman or start over before it's too late.
I dont bother with PvP cause there's no fun when it can all be over in one hit, what it boils down to is who has the skill mods to get the first shot off so there's not a single bit of tactics in there. For PvE I have to say that taking rifleman was the best idea I ever had, the pistols might be great for close range stuff but the rifles totally own when you're able to start the fight yourself from 64m and hit the target twice witha bleedshot for around 1500 damage and then cpa them with a headshot for the same before they start aggroing to you. I'd never have had a chance against half of the things i can kill now when i was only using pistols but since switching I'm taking on red and yellow cons by myself and only suffering around 50% damage when there's several of them attacking me while I'm behind cover.
Rifles rule for PvE!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think PVP currently is very startegic. If you get shotted, you'll probably get killed. What makes my succes in pvp is finding a way to shoot a target and escape cleanly afterwards. Or approach a target without him knowing I,m there.
You can shoot from all kind of places to make you tougher to target, and many people don't pay attention for to their radar.
On the contrary, the day PVP damage will be nerfed, I'll probably find less interesting. I play a sniper to one shot people. not to spam them with an 9 seconds refire rate..............
the one thing they need to do to balance pvp between ranged opponents is truly make range and running make a difference.
along with that they need to nerf bh's knockdown and pistol whip.
so a master rifleman at point blank should have a really tough time hitting( at least 50% chance of missing) and pistol users would have the exact same thing at 64m
this would make rifleman and pistoleers more balanced, and bounty hunters would be able to beat most elite weapon profs because of their ability to change the range and still be highly accurate
The Riflemans Token style is doesnt always do mind damage. With a DLT20a, Jawa Ion Rifle, and Tuskan Rifle, you can one shot with always with Strafe Shot 2. Unless there buffed, and if there buffed then why are you attacking them? Be smart, pick your fights wisely if yoru solo. I always group when PvPing, I pvp everydaty half the time im on, and all I use are my AEs, simply becuase we get attacked by 3 to 1 odds, and I can mass one shot people. Naturally we win, becuase of our organization and well jod working together. I rarely use Head Shot, Unless I see a medic. Becuase using Head Shot, will give them mind wounds sometimes.
Rifleman have some supreme advantages, if they made Mind healable, I wouldnt worry much. With the T21, fixed our damage will go up alot. PvP is so messed up right now, I dont know why you would worry about losing a duel. Pistols hit at our range with supreme accuracy, PvP damage is extremely high, knockdowns make people invincible, and TEFs are broken. We have some great abilities for grouping, and great abilities for soloing.
WIth the AEs, we can dizzy and stun 2 very helpful things. We also work well together with an Master Pistoleer, who has an AE knockdown. Also I beleive Caribines have an AE knockdown. If your soloing expect to die alot, becuase the fact is people have more useful things right now then us. When T21 we will have a better advanatage, I doubt they will be able to buff up to stop a shot from the T21. Every class will be crying nerf, and saying that sucks. Whenever I kill 3 people at once with one shot, people tell me nerf rifles. Whenever I take out a group of 6 or morewith a combination of AEs, and mind bleed people tell me I should be nerfed. Right now every class has a major advantage, find it, use it, and abuse it. Otherwise your going to be dead, and wondering why your not using it.
You cant say a class sucks, when there are thousands of bugs out there.
And if I'm not interested in PvP, and think it likely that pistol effectiveness at long range will probably be reduced, and expect the bugs in our weapons to eventually be fixed, I should still delete my rifleman or start over?
Spare us the melodrama and provide some concrete information that's specific and useful, and we could start evaluating this suggestion seriously.
First of all I want to congradulate you rifleman on not being whiners. Take a look at the pistol boards and youll know what I mean. I am a Bounty Hunter/Creature Handler. So far ive only done pvp 6-7 times and I got ganked by you rifleman 4 of the times. I do agree with you on this 75% drop is goingtohurt you guys, we still have Knockdown but its going to cost us huge. I cant say how nice it is to only hear NERF once in an entire thread. If everyone keeps yelling nerf none of us are going to be worth anything.

What an idiot.
Anyway, this was due for a bump! it's amazing I knew how totally fuqed up rifleman balancewould become in the following months after initial release.

This is perhaps the finest solution to the rifleman issue I've seen for PvP. If the rifleman is truly going to have to bear these insane penaties at close range (spraystick excluded), then the very same penalties must apply in reverse to the pistoleer. Unfortunately this is not the case and Holo and company need to step up and acknowledge it. I've never seen the accuracy issue "owned up" to.
