tek do you actually do something else then calling for a nerf? in 1 thread you stated that pistoleer get a ranged knockdown at intermediate skill which only took about 50 posts of pistoleers to persuade you that youare wrong and at the same timecausing an uproar in the rifleman community upon this false information. in another post you complain about bh / pistoleer and bh / carbineer hybrid how overpowered they are. sssh do you realize thatthis combination only has 13 skillpoints left after gaining master pistoleer / 4 skillboxes of bh pistol. you cantake acouple more professions to compete or? in this post you cry about a bh using a cdef for chainknockdown.....


well let me tell you this dont expect to win against someone who has a lotmore weapon exp than you and cry for a nerf here in forum cause once the people of your profession mature in it and gain most rifleman skills my bet willbe that the table going to be turned. an unholy dps output targeting mindpool or aoe random pool coupled with a sooneror later fixed armor piercing weapon and the best bleed ingame wont get you much sympathy later.

Carbs and pistols were not nearly as nerfed as the TKAs were. Each knockdown for them now costs 660 HAM with their vibro knucklers. The only problem was that the pistols and carbines were what people complained about. I think they should just take away all ranged knockdowns.

I think making the HAM costs that high is too much, might as well just get rid of it all together. I think they should make it so you cant be KD if you are prone. They should also put a timer on KD in PVP only! Do what DAOC did with stun and MEZ and SB did with stun. If you knock someone down they will be immune to KD for 1 minute or what ever they see fit. Dont make the HAM costs so high that you might as well shoot yourself in the head. I am a rifleman but I have friend who is a BH and said he cant even do missions anymore with the nerf. Anyway just my 2 cents.

Its not a fix at all, during PvP if any of them are smart at all, they can buy sunburns. A food that boosts +1500 to seconday stats in health and action. THey can still spam away. Also buffed, they can spam away as well.


30 second immunity timer in PvP needs to be added.


And a **edit** fix to not bieng able to do anything when a pistol user knocks you down.

TKA was the one class that shouldn't have had its knockdown nerfed ffs. I don't know why they got hit so hard by it. If I let a melee character next to me I expect to die, knockdown helped that happen with melee characters.

I think they should put knock down back to the way it was. The only adjustment that was needed was in PVP, I dont think there were any complaints in PVE.


My suggestion is just put a timer on it for PVP only. If player X gets hit with KD he can not be KD again for 30, a minute, what ever. The player who used the KD could still spam it if he chose to but he would not be able to KD the person again for what ever time.


To make the costs so high is just plain stupid. They might as well just remove it from the game, or change it to self shot where you push the guy over with one hand and shoot yourself with the other.

So exactly why did they put defense vs knockdown in the game?


What is stupid taco is the masses here that dont even have 50 skill points into rifle thinking they should be gods. What is stupid is the masses thinking they should be able to be a dancer, doctor and a novice rifleman but still have the same chance to defend against attacks as someone that specs purely combat.


For a BH to get under hand shot: 165 spec points


For a Pistoleer to get disarm 2: 98 spec points


Ofcourse this doesnt matter cause as long as the masses and their50 spec points in rifle dont like it they should get their way. They shouldnt, oh my god, spec against the attack that cost each class that many spec points. No, they should be able to spend a fraction of the spec points and get a imunity to it.


It amazes me that the ability to stop a attack is already in the game and the best thing someone comes up with is "I shouldnt have to spec for it", F'n amazing.

Knockdown should not be a normal move. It should be at least a 15 second delay between each one. Not sure how that would work out, but it's better than this spam I get in PvP.

Silverlobo I agree with you we should really on the resistances to defend us from knockdown and i for one belive atnovice Rifleman should get +100 knockdown resistance. That way we can be l33t gods for are 50 points.


Ridiculous YES. Any more ridiculous than a skill that allows you to win any fight your in as long as you get the first shoot off, not really. This skill was illthought out and badly implemented and as for rifleman being gods with only 50 skill points spent, actually try playing one and see how godlike we truly are LOL.
