I have had the same LOS problem with fan shot and flame cone 1 & 2 while I was hunting at fort tusken.

ok I´m kinda new here but I´m a master rifleman too.
What exactly is LoS? and
What´s wrong with conceal? (works fine for me)

LoS is "Line of Sight". Are there any obstacles between you and your target? Sometimes I can shoot at an NPC that is 5m away from me with nothing between us and get the "You cannot see that object" message!

What IS up with Block anyways? I wanna get seas for it but never really see my toon use it at all. I see more dodge then Block and that's a Pistoleer def.

I would say the fact thatusing an area affect skill and all the damage goes to one target is a bug, I know of no way to make this happen intentionally. Once it happens and you notice it and continue doing it is the real issue. Some would say that continuing to do it is taking advantage of a bug and therefore and exploit. What muddies the waters is that half way through rifleman virtually everything becomes an area affect shot. If using an AE is an exploit then we have to stop using our professions best moves to not exploit, and in the G cave I'm not sure you can survive using the weaker specials (I don't know personally, I have avoided that place till slows down).

The AE bug is often unavoidable and I don't think they'll punish anyone for using it. Spawn rate in geonosian cave seems to have been reduced to reasonable levels (instead of the 20 spawns a minute in the entrance hall) so it doesn't happen there very often.


When the spawn rates were broken the AE bug was the only thing making the cave usable; if there was no one with an area attack no one could get past the firstroom.

The AOE corpse bug should be fixed now at the TC. Look for it to go live in Publish 7.

It seems they may have done something about the AOE bug already. It seemed to not be working yesterday. As was said earlier the spawn rate seems ALOT slower. This causes less bodies to pile up therefore the bug doesnt really have a chance to be used very often.

My block is +165, I have never seen it work for me, I have seen monsters, mobs even other players block(he had over 200 block) but I have never blocked, I do however counterattack quite alot when i eat dodge food. I have also got +71 defensive acuity which is supposed to increase the success rate of defense checks like block, still no blocks. I have seen monsters block, dodge and counterattack in the span of 5 seconds, however when they block they take half damage. Indeed I may be blocking and getting a miss message, or an evade message, or counterattacking. Once I was jumped by some bandits and wooped out the long vibro axe, several times during the fight my character did a parry move, animation and all, however i got no message at the time, tho i was being missed alot, heh, they were just valerians. I have talked to several other serious players about block, and recieved mixed reports, some conflicting some wrong, some not making sense, but mostly evasive answers due to knowing something, or not knowing anything. Surely some people lie, perhaps that blocker guy i mentioned earlier, hehe, imps will tell some quite tall tales to an inquisitive rebel to lead them astray and keep them in the dark. On the bright side, SWG is a dynamic ever changing "extended beta" game, and i learn something new every day. Nothing like getting killed by 1 point shots to make you go Hmmmmmm.I think half the time even the devs dont know what is going on with their MMORPG frankenstein, depending on cunning players to deduce so many aspects of what IMO is the most in depth, intricate online RPG today.

The devs should put ALOT of work in fixing that (you lost sight of your target) bug!


I cant fight inside any buildings caves or whatever...its a horrible bug im so tired of getting killed while clearing my combat queue to switch to headshot3 witch is our only attack that makes sence to use now.
