Thread: T21 or Laser?

get speedcapped, whatever it takes and use the t21 for everything

i used a speed sliced T21 for grinding Rifleman most of the time (later i added a DX6R).
even thou my Laserrifle had better stats - the AP gives a big advantage when it comes to damage output (as said before the higher min-damage makes your shots more reliable).
after i mastered i changed to a damage sliced T21. i usualy change between the T21 and the DX6R (Rancorkiller) when i m out hunting.
if u grind unbuffed a laserrifle might be a good choice as its HAM-cost is usualy way below the T21. i mastered RM without buffs with my T21 and cover/concealshots because i had some medic skills (4400) to heal my HAM (and some pets to guard me - as i leveled and mastered CH the same time). Brandy and Ahrisa are your best friends.
if u dont master RM til the CU u have to change weapons anyway (T21 and the advanced laserrifle will be master weapons).

Before I mastered I hardly ever used the T21 - based on calcs done it was always the worstDPS between the rifles I had
If unbuffed I used the laser - buffed (and once I was cert'ed for it - counter-snipe II?) I used a nice DXR-6b unless their acid resists were very high.
Now that I have recently mastered and searchedthe galaxy for some reasonably affordable speed mods to get me to +95 the T21 once again is the big hitter.
I still carry the DXR-6b to use depending on resists (rancors - cough), but the T21 can't be beat once you near speed cap.

WOW- get an ADK and dont ever worry about the decay of the gun again. Next, if you dont have any credits, well get some, cuz 100k credits is nothing to spend on a gun. If you dont know how, get a few friends and go hunt krayt and get lucky, sell 3 pearls for 6 mill. take 1 mill, split it 4 ways with your group, and you have money for buffs and maintenance and whatever else u need. The other 5 mill goes to your new rifle, a T 21 that pups to 800.
- now lets say during hte hours you hunted krayt, u got a set of 11 tissues at 65 damage. ( did it like 5 times in the past 3 weeks). Go get yourself a 12 point weaponsmith, and he can make you a nice t 21.. then get it sliced. Hope to get lucky and maybe you are sitting on a 800 damage T 21 with 5 mill in the bank to spend on whatever else you need.
- all in all, just hunt something with a group consistenly for a few weeks, eventually you can get enough stuff to have at least 10 mill ( in 3 weeks, and only if you are consistant day by day). Now you dont have to suck as a rifleman, cuz the DPS on a laser rifle sucks compared to that of a T 21 with 260 min and 800 max with the heavy armor peircing. Laser isnt even in the same league as the T 21, unless its looted. Also consider hunting yourself an elder, u can easily solo one if you konw what your doing, and eventually you will be rich off of loot. So there is no reason to complain about spending a few mill on a gun, that you coudl be using forever ( givin the fact u have an adk). If you dont have an ADK, u need to get one, so get to hunting and get 18 mill in ur bank!!!

theres your problem right there once you become a master rifleman and combine that with some force sensitive skills and a couple tapes you will understand the difference between the two rifles once your capped they will both shoot at the same rate so theres really no comparison but until then use your laser and train your speed trees first

I am not putting down the T21 and I respect it and all. I have seen the damage it can do. But, at 5 seconds, and such low stats for such an expensive rifle, I can get a laser that is almost as, if not more, effective. And it is twice as fast.

Master rifleman first, then hunt janta/mokk missions or enraged rancor missions.Before you dream of following this advise. An adk costs 16ish million on starsider or you have to have played 1 year, if you did either of these you wouldnt be posting this. So disregard most of this post.

Maybe if they're junk looted ones. I really have a HARD time believing this. I've never seen a lasers min nearly that high, nor have I seen a T21 with a min that low...sorry, but I'm calling BS on this. That...or...you got the two mixed up.
Now as for money problems...there's a lot of good advice already posted here.
Get an AT-ST (if you're Reb uhhmm...get a really high level pet I guess...though how you'll do this without CH is beyond me). But anyway, get an AT-ST and pull Mokk or Rancor missions. I'd say Mokks are better because they die a lot faster than the rancors. 32K Mokk missions are available from mission terminals...I make about 800K a buff session on these. It's tedious, but it's guaranteed money.
Your other option is Krayt hunting. With Master Rifleman, grab a nice T-21...preferably with a bit of a damage slice. If you can't get hunting buddies, just go and solo Juveniles. Juvie Krayts drop pearls (supposedly they're not supposed to, butI still loot them) and they drop tissue. A large set of base tissue will fetch at least 100K...and that's base tissue. Quality pearls (the only type to drop from Juvies)are worth between 400-700K depending on server and the demand of the buyer. The point is, you can hunt Juvies alone and you will loot off them eventually. Juvies can also drop really great tissue just as easily as a Giant...so if you're lucky, you may even loot that.

well, it isnt really a hard thing to get 16 mill in a few weeks if you got a few loyal guildies helping you. Hunt whatever particular thing you want, and make a killing. Think about it, you own Giant Krayts one buff set a day for 4 weeks, and your sitting on tons of pearls and Tissues. You can easily get 10 prem pearls in this period. Lets say you get 1 mill a pearl ( which is easy, it goes for 2 on mine, but lets just say 1 mill).. now you have 10 mill in credits. Now lets say you got a set of tissue that hits 120 damage. That is a good8 mill+ right there. Even if you dont get the Tissue, u can stack up on tons of tissues and sell for at least 6 mill in one huge lot. So dont say disregaurd the post, b/c its a simple matter of effort, and whether or not you want to hunt with a peice of crap Laser Rifle, or an Uber T 21. Then again u can always buy a looted Laser rifle and own with that. All in all, you will pretty much always suck if your fighting with guns that are 100k and down, b/c to many peaps have spent 100 mill on there Armor plus weapons.

Need a good T-21? Im a Master Rifleman and I got my rifle in the Valinor Vendor Mall on Lok. Don't know theWP but it is on the right of the shuttle when you arrive. Check the Extrodinary Suprises Vendor and Tarintir's Finest vendor. I use a Smokii and am loving it.

I havejust use a bunch of 500ish damage lasers I run around with...with a30% pup damage it's 700 damage...fun fun.
