I am a Master Rifleman.
As aMaster Rifleman I am balanced VS. a Pistoleer from our prospective ranges.
Range is everything.
I would not wish the devs to change anything about my class aside from adding cool new abilites I can play with in PVP,or I will be a sad panda.
Like what? Twirl your rifle around like a band leader?
i want to know whats wrong with the pistoleer class?
i just got novice pistoleer, and it rocks. its soooooo much better than my rifle at 2/1/2/1. i kill mobs more easily, i kill players easier, my life is just all around easier now that i have pistoleer. so far to date ive killed a commando, a BH, and2 imps eachwith an atst, using my pistole, among other useless professions.
could i have killed any of them with my rifle? doubtfull.
swirly_commode I have to ask, did you have master rifle?
I'm sure everyone has heard it by now, but master rifleman is like playing a different class to non master.
I do agree that pistol is a LOT easier pre master.
Yep, thats why I have put a moratorium (yeah I know I can't spell) on me whining on this issue. I am gonna grind the XP to make master and see how it is, and I have heard this from EVERY master rifleman that I have talked to. I know its tough to make the grind guys, especially when there are serveral bugs that hurt us especially, mob warp, stutter step etc. Just make the grind.
Continue to post issues on stuff thats broken, but be respectful, constructive, objective and persistant. If everyone would make one post to the development board on a good rifleman thread simply stating the issues, no whining, no crying about what other classes have............... just whats broken with us.............. you MIGHT (big keyword) see some changes.
i /agree koider,
every master rifleman on this board has said that the difference is night and day and I will continue to grind until i make it to master...then i will decide if its a crappy profession for me or not. it would have been really nice to have a profession that moved up gradually in skill instead of one that goes from almost unplayable to "worth it". I love this game, alot...but paying for beta in many areas of the game leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Pick up the ball SOE and buy some stick'em so you will stop dropping it.
Well, I was sort of happy to see them get such a response.. within a day they had gotten a useful, informational reply from the pistoleer developer. Great for them. I'll continue to be optimistic and hope that means they might notice us, someday.
As for Lobo.. well.. ![]()

Yes a Troll, because I will not succumb to the mob attitude of this board and scream NERF this profession, and give Rifleman god mode.
My hope is the Devs learned their lession with the T21, LLC and Comando weapon changes. No more changes for the sake of getting the board warriors to shut up. They need to spend more time balancing their game and alot less time asking the players to do it for them, because it is obvious the player base doesnt give a rats a$$ about balance.
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGH!
Just WHAT lesson did they learn with the T21??? It was NEVER given a chance.
Please troll another board...
no im not master. but that does not explain why a novice (0/0/0/0) pistoleer is so much more powerfull than a 2/1/2/1 rifleman.
id like to make the grind also, but id also like to see a master title under my name in less than 6 months. i also fear that once ive gotten a master pistol title, i wont want to return to rifleman. im already having trouble breaking out my rifle in any combat. lately, with my rifle shooting at 2.9 seconds its usualy not a problem for me to get off mindshot2 followed by a headshot3 before they realise whats goin on, bu thten its all over. if i stick with my rifle its miss miss miss miss.... if i switch to pistol, i can usualy win the fight, and if not, they still go down from the mind bleed.
i rarely miss with my fwg5 at 60 yards. i always miss with my rifle at less than 45 yards, or when the target is moving.
