Thread: T21 Rifle vs Laser Rifle
Bah, I forgot to point out the differences in range modifiers.
Laser -80 @ 0m, +21 @ 50 m, -50 @ 64m
T21 -70 @ 0m, -1 @ 50m, +10 @ 64m
The non-krayt Laser I have is 30 min 489 max.
My best T21 is 158 min 553 max.
Both have the same coupler power-up attached. Both were made by the same master WS. I think the Laser had a speed slice instead of damage slice. In any case the average damage of the laser is lower because of the much lower min damage. (Min + Max ) /2
Man I can't believe I was using that peice of crap laser rifle for sooooo long.
Just bought a T21 and there is a huge improvement.
Hunting Tattered Tortons with my Laser was a 3-5 shot deal
now hunting Tattered Tortons is 1-2 shots with my T21, what a great gun.
Thanks VG and Jeisyn, I have seen the light.

Anyone know a good weapon smith source on AHAZI that can make good T21 rifles?
There is a current problem with a certain gem drop that is required to craft the T-21 on Ahazi ... This gem has never dropped on that server, therefore Ahazi has no t-21. Not yet anyways.
Well, that makes perfect sense.. we're only about 5 months or so into the game... no need for Rifleman to have their best weapon available.. yey.
So I guess Laser Rifle it is. What's the best laser rifle anyone has seen?
Jawa ion Rifle, (stun damage relatively low HAMs for a rifle and is a must have for PvP)
Laser Rifle, (dime a dozen and the best thing if you cant get a T21)
T21, (AR3, High Hams and consistant dmg)
SG82, (for those rare occasions where cold dmg is called for)
DLT20(a) or a Bowcaster (if a wookiee), Low Hams and you can spam specials with them fora lot longer (will also be the one you use as your main until you get the Laser cert)!
So ... what have i missed? Hmm the Tusken I have never used one dont really see where this would be of any use!

Two things:
There are two basic versions of the T21. The advanced components versions have higher min/max damage, but they are slower and have huge HAM costs (mine is 105 to mind). But weaponsmiths can alsomake a model with a slightly lower min/max damage, but also with lower HAM and better speed. As do many others, I carry both versions. I use the higher-end one (along with Muon Gold) to hit heavily armored targets and the lower-end one with a speed/mind or max damage/mind powerup for general use. With appropriately migrated mind stats, I do not need Muon Gold with the lower-end version.
Also, do not forget the E11. It, too, is AP2 like theLaser. But while ithas a lower Max damage than the Laser,it has a much higher minimum damage, it is faster, and has a much lower HAM cost (40 to mind) than the Laser. With a good damage slice and a min/max damage powerup (which you can use because the speed and HAM costs are already reasonable), you can get an E11 in at around 4.7 speed and 146 - 330 damage. My Krayte E11 got a weak damage slice (19%)
but is still doing 109 - 260 at 4.2 speed without powerups. The higher natural speed and low HAM costs means that you get more consistent higher damage than the Laser at a faster speed and little cost to mind. This also means I can spam Headshot 3s and come very close to the standard Laeser max damage pumping Headshot 2s.
Thus, I use my low HAM T21 and my E11 more than my Laser.
Tusken SHOULD have kinetic, but it along with the spraystick both have energy. (spraystick should be acid.) Also, in the last patch the feeder mech was fixed. This does not increase the max damage, but expect around an 25-30 increase in the min. Also, keep an eye out for the new feeder mech loot which was just added.
Spraystick also has a bugged chemical dispersion mech that cant be exp over 5/5 to min/max damage. The devs said the oct patch would fix this, but it did not. Weaponsmiths have included this in their problems for fixing.
