You can do this with any skill. I'm currently farming rebel Npcs with 0/2/4/0brawler with some medic a non CH mount and 0020 pistoleer. I'm only using my pistol to get missions, after that I'm using the box 2 of fencer to kill them. I'm half way to an AT-ST......need I say more.
I thought Rifleman were more mature, than say..Pistoleers..
I can see I was mistaken.
I've just posted a question about the pro's and con's of mastering rifleman and that last comment really has me intrigued....
Hmm....
Don't get me wrong Drake.....novice doesn't hold a candle to master for the most part....but anything that your pet can tank while you bleed it is doable with just the 2 dot's. You won't be as fast or efficient as a master, but with CH skills you can still do it. Even better if it's mobs where you can stack bleeds on an entire lair at once while the ol' GM is tanking.
I personally wouldn't trade Strafe2 to go back to doing it that way. I tear through everything much, much quicker/easier now....but as I said....It can still be done somewhat effectivelythe other way.
2/1/0/1?
LOL thats weak to be saying your uber mate, try 2/1/0/4 and i might beleive you. Obviously you need to get farther out of town that 1000 meters, go pick a fight with a nightsister stalker and tellme how it goes..
With solid CH skills, all you really need is 1 box above novice in pistol/rifle/carbine to kill just about anything.
With that being said, Master Rifle does rock though =P

I'm 70% of the way to Master CH, and I've stopped bothering with a pet on any NPC mission, simply because the astronomical Ranged Defense and unstoppable hail of death from Flushingshot2 (which isabout 7% time/damage more efficient than Strafe2, not to mention the stunning effect) makes even level 63 Large Rebel Bases cakewalks.
Wow.. not entirely sure how you leapt to that conclusion from what i wrote.. maybe you could explain it to this particular (and presumably immature) Rifleman...

Agreed.. here we go with the the old 'one person speaks for all' again... remember the flame war where ALL riflemen got accused of getting the FWG5 nerfed.. all tarred with the same brush.. You really should check names in posts before commenting on the riflemen as a whole.

Depends on the rifleman and pistoleer in question.
I apologize for thinking they were then. I'll never think a Riflemanis mature again.
if your a creature handler, why even go that far in rifleman?
just use mindshot one, sit down while the pet tanks, and the mind bleeds. then get up and HS 1 it. jeez all those wasted skill points when you coulda taken something realy handy like CM.

at the time i wasnt master but i WAS being sarcastic sorry if it went over your head...
now that i AM master the same statement applies.
there is truth in it. why should i HAVE to prove it continously on every creature before i can use a pet for fun?? if he wants to fumble around with the painful slow fire rates of low level rifle and keep it there then more power to him. i tame my own pets if i cant tame it i dont use it. i have bought exactly ONE pet from another player and that was a cowardly gurreck baby which at the time i could tame but it saved me about 4k creds to buy it than buying the roundtrip ticket to go get it myself.
riding a mount?? have a CG or a rock beetle?? i bet you do. heh
Bit off topic but it has to be said;Mounts rock, I'm very impressed with them, very Star Warsey.
If you have a carrion spat with trick1 try doing it while mounted, it looks SO good.
