Thread: New Rifles: Lithanium and Berzerker

Well, one wee little note.

Everybody's going to be running around with T21's anyway, because most people can't afford or can't find anything better. All the elite stuff is in the hands of a tiny minority of the population.

Yes, the Lith Rifle was Kinetic, I got on the 2nd day after the patch. I will check the Rifle and see if it is energy now.

The lithitanium rifle is indeed kinetic* now. It was changed in the hotfix wednesday morning I think. I did see yesterday a tusken king rifle that still showed kinetic damage in the examine window... but the stats on it made me think 'why even bother getting it' when I saw it.

Don't need to talk to Victor (if he got elected in) before killing the executioner at Fort Tusken I guess. Just kill it, then talk to Victor, because Victor only gives you a waypoint to the fort. Not a red one like a mission waypoint, but a general blue waypoint.

*oops.. that's supposed to be energy.

Thanks for the info. It was turning into a thread about hunting Rancors and other classes' new weapons.

So this Lithanium is usable with specials and is Energy Damage Type? Is it true it was Kinetic for a few days?

I hung around for a couple hours at the Tusken Fortress with friends after getting the mission, but no spawn, will try it again. I feel bad getting a group together and we just run around killing low level tuskens... when you can... being the place is swamped with levelers with a Squad Leader at top trying to group everyone. I guess if the thing did spawn you would be lucky to get it, since a leveling Squad Leader would have a big group and they would most likely be on it like glue and get thelooting rights.

I like the way they are going with the Corvette. Only your owngroup is there, good call. Just have multiple instances of the Dungeon each group warps too, no need for camp battling and damage competition.

Speaking of the Corvette I heard the new Berzerker schem was looted, but not the items to make it. Any new info?

I am interested in the new rifles also. I am a master and my krayt enhanced model is getting low. Stats min151 max 601 spd 5.6 h 20 a 40 m 80. i was bless by the devs to loot 11 tissues with 95 dmg .546 speed. my weapon smith added the stock from the imperial retreat so i have anice looking rifle now. Anymore info on the lith would be helpful

I'm having little problem at the moment.

I run along Dathomir, unarmored with a set of buffs, brandy and of course a Muon for emergency.

By the time I get done head-shotting and SS2ing the groups of Rancors, they tend to drop about 15m in front of me. Then I just pick up the meat and other resources and the occasional loot. This is all using a T21.

I never come up off my T21. It's the same one I bought when the final resource FINALLY shifted on Radiant. I have the disruptor, and every other damage type we have (well, I just sold my SG-82, I never used it). I have a 800 damage Laser rifle I never use. I have a Jawa Ion I only PvP with. It's tough to beat the AP3 of the T21.

Now the Kinetic does sound interesting (for Nightsister hunting). But the Blast doesn't (besides, it won't be blast by the time it goes live.......lol)

Someone said the berserker is AR0 heat which is TOTALLY WORTHLESS but as usual they can't provide screenshots so I won't believe any of this until someone posts a screenshot.

POKEY THE PENGUIN SIG REMOVED BY GARVA BECAUSE "Just because you are crafty enough to get around the technicality of it being a .jpg or .gif does not mean it is not an image, it is not ascii art, it is an image" SO HERE IS MY NEW SIG.

and yet it is true

the berserker was energy ap 1 but changed during a hotfix the next day on test centre to heat ap0 (which is still useful - any damage type increase is still and increase in our abilities)

we probably will see the first berserkers on live today - some people are already making a trip just for that ^_^

Oh that's just great. Is my memory bad, or did I not see a post a while back where a Dev (or someone quoting a dev) said they could not change the Spraystick and the Tusken energy types because it was not a simple program fix? Yet they can change this one overnight?

This is what I got in response. We can assume the same now applies for the Lith

klawlegna:Tusken Rifle & Spraystick damage types arestill broken.

Keldarin: If you are referring to the desire that these weapons be given Kinetic damage, it's not going to happen for a while (if ever.) Currently ranged weapons have a significant advantage over melee weapons for variety of damage types done. The one hold-out is Kinetic damage.I know that there are a couple ranged weapons that currently do kinetic damage but they are not powerful enough to impact melee players. Until I am able to get a better distribution of damage varieties across melee weapons then Kinetic will remain a protected melee damage type. No profession should be given all the tricks, the idea is to spread roles and utilities across the profession so that they are required to work together to accomplish bigger goals. If you have a target that needs high Kinetic damage output to take down then pick up a melee player for your group.

** I'm still waiting word on from him regarding "Acid" for Spraystick. However, it doesn't look promising for any changes for weapons pre-weapon balance. We canlook for some kind of change durning the weapons balance for probably all the weapons in SWG.
