I actually received confirmation straight from a Programmer Dev that the new Beserker Rifle will do Heat damage...I haven't heard confirmation on it's AP, but popular opinion is that it's AP0...I'd link you to the actual post for confirmation, but it's in the Correspondent forum (which only Correspondents have access too)...The Dev did ask that we help get the word out to help dispell the rumors.
As for whining...This Commando was actually hoping that your profession would get a Blast Damage Rifle...It's always been the Devs idea that Commando was the Ranged Profession that should do Blast damage (Swordsman's are the Melee profession that does Blast Damage with power hammers)...I was hoping that if they decided to open that up to other ranged professions, they might also start considering giving Commandos a Ranged weapon with ranged skill mods and ranged specials as a trade off...No whining...not ranting...just hoping to push that balance thing...![]()
Someone did point out that with this weapon addition, the Rifleman profession has a very nice collection of damage types...that, although might not seem like much, is at least something positive.
