Why bother trying to conceal yourself though, you get discovered after three shots anyway
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well accutally, noyou don't if you are Fighting a melee mob.
I have been fighting Janta, Mokk etc, on Dant, "all Melee"
What I have found is that if you Shoot once with conceal "provided you can get Cover to work if cover works Conceal will too", then you move about 10m or so befor the target finally gets sick of waiting & rushes to the last known position you were in, he will not reveal you at all cause he cant find you. Just keep plugging away with Conceal, rince & repeat.
Now I'm not sure that this is intended or not, but i assume that it is cause it makes sence to me, that hit & run tactics while under cover would be a natural Rifleman tactic. I did try it against a MDJ though & got my Butt Kikt, he got to about 10 feet away & still knew where i had moved to. Also didn't work with stormies, they too revealed me & hit me with ranged attacks.
I think this might be where Ranger comes in, with the Cover/Prone Movement bonus, the whole Idea i think is for the Rifleman toKeep his Witts about him,if he wants to stay in cover.

Hmmmm Strange... I was doing it weith Janta & Mokk & Such & it worked everytime.
One Conceal Shot, start moving away from the first spot & keep moving untill they charge, when they got to mi first firing posistion I was un detected & was able to continue firing & runnin like that woithout detection.
I think a lot of experimenting needs to be done hre to see exactley whats going on.

I have to laugh at all the fanbois in this thread still supporting the CU likes it's the best thing since sliced bread!
Things are broken worse than they were pre-CU. That's a fact.
Does that mean that SWG didn't need a CU? No, it needed one, it needed one that was less buggy and less full of holes.
Does this CU have promise? Of course it does. It will just take a long while to get it back to at least on par with the old system as far as fun and playability. As soon as it does that, it will continue to get better and will surpass the old system; I have no doubts about that.
I'm just pissed they rushed it and cannot possibly fix the bugs fast enough to make me happy.
QFE
(apart from the bit about needing the combat revamp, I dont' think we did, I think the problems we had could have been fixed without the whole combat revamp, IMHO).

My experience has been against creatures. I didn't move as you suggested. Found a place to cover up, crawled to a good firing spot, and just did auto attack on conceal shot. Every time, no matter the type of creature, after shot number three my cover is broken.
