yeah - it does not incease the chance of the skill sticking but it does increase the length of the intimidate

check these threads out:

Hmmm checked those threads and they don't give a clear answer. Most of the discussion was about intimidate 1 & 2 stacking or not and if Int2 will reduce damage more than 1. Seems that cnclusion however was that Intimidate 2has a longer duration than 1 (which is what the offical information is anyway).

The second post do say that +intimidate will make intimidate stick easier.

Guess I need to my own testing lol

Giants are easier then Canyons aswell...The reason being that they don't STUN you. When you are stunned it seems like you do much less damage!. I was only hitting a canyon for krayt for like 500-1200 points (Actual damage after resists..Floatys) compared to 2000-3000+ with an Exceptional T21 when i'm not Stunned. Takes about 15-17mins with a 720puped T21 compared to 13mins for the giants.

Anyway. I'd love this to be stickied as LOTS of people have thanked me fore the strategy in game.

What dya think?

that works for certain, bermag. i have +20ish intim. attachments and i pretty much land it within two attempts..on whatever my target is.

takes longer w/out the intim bonuses.

nice little strategy you got there.

Unfortunately, I don't want anything at all to do with melee.. but I am also a master commando, so I got that intimidate going and man is it a life saver. You really can't stress enough how important intimidate is. I also find that instead of standing up, I change to kneeling, and that usually gets me up and firing again (works about 80% of the time, where standing straight up never works).

a bug - currently gloves and boots cover the entire action pool, the torso covers the health pool and the helm the entire mind pool.

this of course creates an even more unfair situation for the trandoshan and wookiee races. so it will be fixed but for now if you wear just those 4 items it is the equivalent of wearing all 9 items (and for good measure this bug as has a strange sideeffect - if you wear any piece outside those 4 you actually gain armor holes....)

hi bermag.

They absolutely do work. MBrawler has a much larger chance of landing its intimidate than a novice. But either way its not too hard.

My template is Master Ranger, Master Rifleman, and the extra 18 SP i have in ranged support for the aiming mods (soon it will be mandatory for Mrifles)

The other day i took on a giant canyon krayte, was doin great, i dont use SS2 on large targets, instead use HS3, plus MS1&2 for the secondaries bleeds. Its more efficient to hit one pool than to shoot a random pool, unless you are trying to outdamage someone.

So i kitied the bugger, eventually i had the krayte to a walk, then i could stop spam HS3 a few times, run up ahead and repeat! was great fun, sure it would have taken a while, but Ranger requires a masterd novice profession(scout) so i lack the SP to put into other profs for the defences. Eventually i came accross a Rebal base, and decided to get the krayte to agro the base turret...it worked!! so i slowly worked the kraytes mind, and voilat!!! i got a premium pearl! not to shabby.

Then i tried my strategy against an ancient...and.....i failed miserable LOL.

It's better to use Strafe Shot 2 on Krayts..Not Headshot3. It's a smaller damage modifier. SS2 kills Krayts quicker then HS3..I've timed this. It breaks theirarmor quicker. Once the armor is broke they go down VERY fast. Like 4-5k per hit on the health pool. compared to 2k on the mind...

ya know its even easier than what you posted...

what you need:

2 Mrifles/brawlers/medic

your squadleader alt

armor

boofs

rifles

what i do is log on my squadleader alt who is also master doc buff my 2 rifleman chars and my squadleader then turn on a formup macro and a retreat macro. both my chars have 800-1k damage t21's and full 39% 90% mini suits of comp armor. Make a macro that goes SS2 8 times, stand 2 times, intim 2 times, SS2 5 times and loop it. Run the macro on both chars in the graveyard. Park one char near a crayt spawn then drag a krayt over have em both target it stand 40m appart and just let the macro run for a few mins. So i just keep dragging krayts over and over w/o any probs. They do like 20-80 damage at most and die realy fast with 2 800+ t21's...

Benifits of a squadleader:

You can not get dizzied or stunned

You have everlasting burstrun

added terrian negotion

more melee and ranged def

dont need to take any kd food

and life is good
