I vote for akehece to (however you spell it dammit)
1st - Correspondent positions are not votes (thank you all for the thought though ^_^ )
2nd - A-c-k-e-h-e-c-e pronounced ACK-e-Hes-E
We voted Starnick in.
either that or intimidated the Devs into the descision.....
Just think if PsychoJuggalo was still around. Or he who must not be named.
I called it with Waste back in the day and I personally think Acke should get in but what do I know; I just lurk here anymore, shaking my head at the whipper snappers.

Why are so many "New Player cor openings" ??
As Garvin stated. There is a six month term limit on Corrs. It was always my intention to only serve six months. I've served seven so far. I was holding out for the CU/R/B Alpha testing but that isn't going to happen.
Another strange facet is that Corrs had a tendency to resign in bunchs. I think it has to do with one deciding to do so it makes the rest of us think about it and some of us to decide to also go join blue glowie land. I think this time we had four of us step down in about a week.
For those of you interested here is a general idea of what it's like. First thing I did was read the Rifle boards to find if there was anything critical I needed to post of the Corr boards. Then read the Corr boards. Then back to the Rifle boards in case there was something on the Corr boards I needed to gather more info for from the Rifles.
This is not a paid position. It's a volunteer position. You get no special perks for being a Corr other than access to a couple new boards. Which for the most part aren't that different from those you see here. Just a little bit more red name posting there. There are times you will be expected to complete reports to send to the Devs, sometimes on short notice.
I think I spent my first three weeks doing reports. But part of that was that I didn't have any of the old stuff to look over and had to go from scratch. Whomever fills the slot I'll have copies of my reports I can email to give an idea of what has been stated before and an idea on the format that was used. Should make it a bit easier.
There are a number of good choices out there. I encourage all of you to apply. Best of luck to all of 'ya.
PS - I do have it on good authority that this time it will be much speedier process than last time.

He has a lengthy history of numerous account bannings, look at his own posts, proof is right there. He has had morally despicable and racially offensive guild names, is very vulgar and rude to almost everyone, and is honestly not as good a rifleman as he claims to be.

6 month terms / need for a continuity during the coming testing phase of the CU and the next expansion.
the current correspondents can run again but the position must be opened up for all to run for.
6 month terms, eh? Didn't know that.

It was a new rule added about 5 months ago...it's in place to help with Correspondent burn-out that happens typically around 6 months...it gives current Correspondents a chance to take a step back if they need a break or recommit by reapplying...
All current Correspondents started their "6 month" term the date that it was announced (even if they had been there already longer then 6 months)...6 months from the announcement will hit around May I believe (so between now and then you'll likely be seeing a lot of older correspondents especially stepping down...except those that plan on reapplying....

Whatever you do, do not allow _rex_ to even be considered as a rifleman correspondent. He expressed interest in the Tarquinas forums about it and I just want everyone to know what kind of person he is. I think he would do a great dis-service to the rifleman community if he were made correspondent.

How can you be, when everything we know will be changed? Even if you play every single minute on the upcoming CU test on TC you won't be ahead of others, because complete knowledge and experimentation won't be possible from a few weeks of testing, so if anybody says they are, that's pretty sad.
But I wasn't asked.

If I where asked I would through my support behind ackehece. As a veteran of the boards, the profession, and the fact that I see alot of information pour from his posts, it seems like a logical choice to me.

From... her posts, I believe. If she were Tiggs, she'd /pounce,but I'm sure she appreciates the support. Assuming of course she's put her name in the hat, whihc I hope she has.
