if your rebel go to the imperial weapon developement facility on naboo. Its tough but you can get the guys there to use ranged combat. Wehn the dark troopers run at you make sure you dont stand still or they will start clubbing you with stun battons. Other than that if you do it right everythign exept the imperial inquisitor will fight range on you.
