One thing that scares me about LOS: In the past, if a tree or rock blocks LOS from a MOB to a player that it wants to attack, the MOB's AI says "hey, lets warp through the object, appear directly on top of them, and blow 'em away". Also works in the reverse when they want to retreat.
I think I will like LOS on live, but it puts a much greater emphasis on those problems being solved. I've seen quite a few patch and hotfix notes saying they've "improved" this in the past, but they still occur fairly regularly. Basically, MOBs shouldn't be allowed to warp, they just need to allow the AI to intelligently pathfind as much as possible.

This Los issue looks like it wil help:
my jedi never going to get hit while grinding on endor or taulus
- just go zig zag between the trees

I did notice warping in bestine yesterday. The new rats were doing it to me all the time. I was on the hill with the Imp base shooting down at them. Some of them would warp into the bank. This would break my attack. Some of them would walk out of the Bank and attack me and other would pull a Nightcrawler and "BAMPF" on top of me. Auto attack needs to be brought back.

What we be cooler(but will never happen because the kiddies would all quit) Would be to have to actually AIM and fire. Or stay close and hit. None of this panty waste auto attack garbage. If you see it you can shoot it at REAL ranges. Now that would be cool. You got a Kenitic Rifle? You fire from a couple hundred meters away or more and all they MIGHT know it they got shot from the NW if they even heard it over the noice around them. Now that would be great but expecting REAL wargame action is just hoping for to much I know.

Whoops, sorry for the mis-quote.
I *have* seen Nightsisters with T21's on live. I feel like one time I got hit for an extreme amount of damage by a stormtrooper, and saw in my combat spam window that they had used "advanced strafe" on me, also. I don't mind NPCs using special attacks much, especially if post-CU professions can target/debuff their Action and Mind pools, as has been suggested.
Will add a neat level of strategy to combat, I think.

Excess3, Cpl_Fisher - Semper Fi ! The Marines taught me well. I always qualified expert. Even when in Germany, I went to qualify at their BundestArmee range. Of course, I earned the Gold Shootzsneer thingy.
Kalaf, I played a game called "Project Entropia". It has an aiming system like you refer to. You aimed with your mouse and had to click to actually shoot at or even swing at the mob. It is also cool because they have scopes that if you use the mouse wheel , you can actually zoom in on target.

Yeah,.. I play WWIIOL where we have to aim and fire EVERY shot. We also have REAL ranges.. Rifles can kill out to 800m or so and big guns out to 3000m, Visual range is about 5kms

LOL, yeah. But that's what we play FPS's for, not RPG's.And this is an RPG after all so i doubt that would ever happen.Though personally i would not mind it, heh heh heh.

Strict LOS without a reasonable range boost is a nerf to all ranged characters.
It'll be quite interesting in large-scale PvP, when there is really no telling where your target is.
