As everyone else has said, once you master rifleman your speed increase is stunning. It's been months since I've mastered it, but I can still remember the first time I shot a stormtrooper after mastering rifleman. What power!

Securing a +7 rifle speed attachment (or set) is also a great investment, as it speed caps you with your T-21, which is a Good Thing. Of course, if you're hurting for credits the attachment(s) are probably a long-term goal. Good luck!

Yeah once you hit master you go crazy awesome, Mokk missions normally took like 20 min to do ended up taking like 5 min with master.

Has anyone tried Master Rifleman in the Test Center using the Character Builders?

I went out there and got mrifle/mfencer and Janta/mokk didnt even touched me, Mind Shot 1, Mind Shot 2, And like 5 Headshots 3 and they were dead, thats 7 secs per Janta. I'm currently Rifle 4443, with 60K Combat XP left for Master Rifle, is the speed in Test Center the same as the regular servers, currently I have to use conceal shot or other wise I get killed, or need a new armor every 6-7 missions.

Hi everyone,

I finally made Master Rifleman yesterday. YaY!!!!

I was doing Mokk/Janta missions on Dant. They certainly paid well, hence allowed me to make the money I needed. However, the xp gain was not as fast as quenkers. I used concealshot to take them out so one outpost would take about 20-25 minutes. This meant per hour my credit intake was about double that of quenkers, but my xp was significantly less. Even though mokks/jantas give more xp per head, becuse they were taking so long to kill the xp gain was limited. But this did not bother me so much. I also joined up a couple of times with a melle fighter in my group and I shot while they tanked. Again, the xp gain was not great, but the credits rolled in.

Once I had enough money, I went back to quenkers to finish off rifleman. I found that using flurryshot on the lair really took them out fast. As the lair would lose condition the quenkers would run back to try to fix it. It was here that they mostly died.

I'll have to say that I've found warningshot and threatenshot to be rather ineffective. As well as surpriseshot. My main tools have been mind attack shots, concealshot, aim, normal attacks, flurryshots, and I cant wait to try strafeshot2.

There's really only four attacks you need as a Rifleman.

1) Point Blank Area 1
Gets you through the Marksman tree and up to Counter-Sniping III. Take Huurton/Quenker missions, run up to the lair and spam it until you're done. Hell you can put it on a looping macro and go do something else and check back to move to a new lair. This does, however, require you to either have medic to heal yourself or enough defense from another profession to not need healed.

2) Flurry Shot 2
Once you get to Counter-Sniping III get a disruptor and start picking up Voritor Tracker missions. Drive up 50m away and start spamming on the lair until it dies, you'll kill plenty of Voritor in the process and once it's down you can finish off any that are left. Once again you need to either be able to heal yourself, have a tank, or have enough defense from another profession to survive.

3) Strafe Shot 2
Highest damage multiplier of any Rifleman skill. This is what you use to complete Janta missions in seconds by targeting the camp, usually the Janta/Mokk are dead before they even reach you although sometimes one or two make it.

4) Headshot3
Good for single targets and of course it is what you'll use 99.99% of the time in PvP.

Mindshot2 is worthless since bleed was nerfed, it's good in the very rare and very limited situation in which you need to stick a dot on something and run away or hide. Conceal shot is occasionally useful when you're looking to get some hits in on something without getting aggro, but that's rare. I mean, come on, I'll kill two or three AT-STs without even needing a heal simply using SS2 or HS3. We didn't even bother with it against Mellichae, they simply tanked him for the 60 seconds it took for me to kill the crystals and everyone in the camp and then we finished him off too. It just isn't that often when conceal shot is worth the trouble. Sniper Shot is a useful attack that I did not include because, well it's not really attack, it's just a ranged deathblow and only useful to us PvPers.

Rifleman is pretty easy to Master with a set of buffs and some decent armor and weapons. Doing so without them is going to be tough, but let's be realistic, for 99% of the things that involve any form of combat you're wasting your time, or at the very least it's going to take much longer. I wouldn't bother trying to make money or do anything in Rifleman until you've mastered it, just go straight through and complete that sucker in a day or two, you get fully one third of your speed from that Master box and you need it, not to mention the accuracy. Don't dabble in this profession.

You can finish Janta Missions in under 1-2minutes with strafe2... just get in position so the most jantas are in line and start blasting either one of them or the lair. As soon as your target dies (if you are targeting the jantas) switch to another one and contiune blasting until they are all dead. I can get about 300k-400k/hour and that's on a bad day. If I go with my bud we can make about 500k each / hour.

I also play on bria and if your looking to make a couple extra thousand creds per mission then you should head to sweet water. its just north of the mining outpost.

Here we go.

Do the usual stuff, ie; Get buffed, then before you engage in combat drink Brandy, eat the relevant foods...you know the score.

1. Go to Dantooine.

2. Join a Big solo group at the relevant outpost.

3. Fly out to a city that has an "improved Job Market" (if possible)

4. Clone (If you feel the need)

5. Find a Mission Terminal.

6. Refresh until you see 30K Janta missions (no need to exit bike when getting mission)

7. Get two missions in the same direction.

8. Fly out to mission, exit bike.

9. Get in ideal range for T21

10. Kneel and fire off Head Shot 3

11. Repeat untill all are dead.

12 Go to next mission.

This way 99% of the timeyou would have killed the enemybefore they evenreach you...you shouldnt even get hit if you have a good damage T21 with a power-up

I think Janta missions are easier as they have lower resists than Moks (think thats the name anyway)

Hey riflepeoples,

Thanks again for the tips!

Yesterday I tested out MRifleman for the first time. Oh boy, oh boy. To tell the truth I was a little skeptical of just how much better it could be from a non-master. But, it's true, the difference is huge and this is NOT a dabble profession. The speed increase is amazing, I think as one poster has said, almost one third increase. The missions I chose were jantas and mokks, and I chose to test by using headshot and mindshot to pull singles away from the mob. I REALLY love this ability to draw singles away from an aggroed mob, so you dont get swarmed by enemies. Makes killing enemies rather easy. Anyway, I used a macro that had mindshot2, flurryshot1, 3Xheadshot3, then if they still werent dead just added a couple more headshot3s. Someone mentioned above that mindshot was nerfed, well as I've only been SWG about 5 weeks now I dont know what it was like before, but I find it works rathernicely. It takes damage off enemies still (little is better than nothing I guess). I would love to have seen what it was like before pre-nerf LOL. Anyway, my macro, was mostly for mind attacks, but I threw in flurryshot1 to stun my opponent, it virtually hit every time. This is nice because it lowers all the stats and makes it even easier to kill.

As for time I was doing one mission in about 5-7 minutes, with the enemies being killed in about half that, and the lair taking the other half. MUCH faster than before. yay. And, I'm not even using a decent weapon. Just a very average T21! Again, as has been stated, Jantas were easier than mokks due to lower resists. The Jantas almost never got to within melee distance before they were dead. The mokks on the other hand genereally made it to melee distance but usually only managed to get one hit in. I found that mokk shamans were a little bit tougher. The mokk herbgatherers (cant remember their exact name, but sounded weak) usually died before they got to me. So, I was making about 300k per hour, and I was taking it very easy, experimenting with various things, so the potential to make far more is totally believable, particularly, as someone mentioned above, if you were to group with a friend who could tank!

I found out that using examine to check what resists your enemy has is a good idea. Jantas and mokks have no resistance to stun, so next time I'm going to try using a jawa and see how much quicker they fall. These guys have resist to energy, which is what the T21 uses. The old adage: know your enemy.

Also, its time to get a decent set of weapons!

I havent tried Flurryshot2 yet....yes, I hear you all saying, YOU FOOL, LOL. Well, I wanted to test the difference in pulling singles first. It's great, and I'm overjoyed. So now onto flurryshot2. I think I'm gonna first test it by sending in my BE pet tank to distract, while I fire flurryshot2 at range.

Also, I'd now love to get myself some rifle speed tapes. If anyone knows of any good ways of getting these I'd love to hear! Also, as a wookiee where is the best place to put them? Are they usually armor attachments or clothing attachments? I guess if they are armor attachments bracers would be the best place as bracers dont seem to get hit very often. Not sure about clothing attachments though...

Once I've tried all these things I'm gonna try unbuffed, then if that works even unarmored (or just a little)! Of course, someone may want to get a screenshot of me falling dead in 5 seconds LOL.

Cheers,

Ato

Another cool thing to do, is go to LOK. Canyon Corsairs, Strong Pirates etc, just flurryshot 2 (dizzy)em all then spam strafeshot2, they usually change posture at some point by themselves, then because they are dizzy end up flopping....easy kills, and you can get some ok loot and money as well.

No contest this is the fastest way to make cash Iv ever done. I made 1 mil in 1 buff session (including lots of talking and a trip to convert xp), so its pretty good =).

You need these things to do it this fast:
Speed capped/Master Rifleman
A good damage sliced/damage PuP'd rifle(700ish max is plenty)
Composit(must have)
Buffs(duh)
Food, Brandy and Arisha are a must, Canape wont save your mind nearly as well, trust me.

Get in a solo group and do Mokk Shaman missions, 5 around the lair each time, 30K xp for each lair(crappy xp I know), but from an improved job market its 32K per mission. Fly in to 64m range, target lair, and just oblitarate the lair with straif2, they shouldent even get close enough to hit you with your cone taking them down like MAD. Takes around 20 seconds to off the lair.
Run over, loot there bodies(still some decent stuff to be had from them!) and move onto your next mission.

Easy as pie, I did 31 of these in 1 buff session without pushing myself very hard at all, thats 930K total, decent xp, but 1 mil cash is hard to beat in 2 and a halfish hours.

=) Enjoy!

"SWG? Multiplayer? oh yeah... If I had 1 penny for every time the phrase "solo group" was spoken in 1 single day of SWG I could retire. LOL. We'v got to face that this isent a multiplayer game, its a multiple person interaction simulation single player role playing game... So its a. MPISSPRPG. "-Me

Sorry, made a mistake in my last post. I meant Flushingshot (for stun) where I wrote Flurryshot....
