Thread: Is rifleman good at soloing?

U can solo anything short of a giant krayt dragon as master rifleman and being speedcapped. Try spamming strafe2 aat any lair and 10 secs later poof all vanished

Most things are dead before they even get to you if they start running toward you. For the tougher mobs just conceal shot.

I'm a Master Rifleman. I started doing Fencer, I'm at 4/4/4/0 Fencer now, and I'm mainly using it for defences to help my rifleman skills. StrafeShot2 is such a great attack! Combine that with a T21 Rifle (that has HEAVY Armor Piercing) and you can solo anything.


Of course, when I was just a Master Rifleman, I had trouble soloing 5 Rancors because my defences were horrible. Add some Fencer defences and you're pretty much invinsible, dealing Heavy Armor Piercing damage and if you get a good speed slice (Or unlock the Range Speed FS branch) you will fire almost every second.

well i discuvered that we cant solo giant dune kimos either. i know a TKM that soloes them routinely. i tried conceal shot on it and 2 shots later (i was 50 m away)

"you have been diseased". i ran. (i am a doc, but u cant keep up with him. the tkm jsut ignores it, and meditates it off, before going to the next one. yes he finshes a spawn with over 1k BF)


of course GDK are not MENT to be soloed lol.


but as MRM with speed cap, most things do not scare me. i soloed melchiah (or whatever his name is) for a m8t, and countless 15-20k ham stuff.


the geo cave is easy now. i was able to even tank two enhanced kwi and kill them both. (here the stim e's came in handy)


BUT: i do this with very high quality armor, ahrisa, brandy , maxed mind buffs.



ill add something here: your mind gets stronger as time goes on. i.e. when u start your hunt, you pop 3 ahrisa and 2 brandy. but then as the timers on stomachstart to run down and you take more ahrisa/brandy BEFORE the effect of the previous food is gone , you start geting a compound effect. dont wait for the icons to disapear, before eating more. downside of course is you need to know a chef. i made our chef make me 15 crates of ahrisa before he gave it up lol.


this is usefull for the geo cave for instance. by the time u get to the end and face the force klicks and stuff, your mind will justt not drop. then you can heal the damage easily with your novice medic etc, without fear of droping your mind because of the heals.

I need some help understanding this because I am no good at ranged templates. A rifleman can solo anything in the game other then an ancient krayt? I'll admit that I haven't played the game in a while (been deployed with the Army) and I've just started checking the forums recently. I left beforeI got to take advantage of my Master Rifleman template so its all a little fuzzy to me. Is there a separate thread I can read for tactics or whatever? It has to be more difficult then /concealshot (random ramage to HAM right?) or strafe shot? I dunno. It will definately be fun getting back into it and figuring it all out. I'm really into PvE (well...I was) and am looking forward to taking on some krayts and elders and what not. Anyway, also advice, help, clickies, or whatever would be appreciated.
