Thread: 1 uber rifle for Riflemen?

my pre-nerf T21 was one of the first on our server and it had fairly sad stats too, but it is 213-541 with a dmg slice, I forget the %, and with a 32%/16% powerup I can get it up to 700 or so, but I think I'll have to get rid of it, I've repaired it so many times that it has a max condition on 340 or something now.

Gallinorian Rainbow gems have, to my knowledge, only spawned one time on Ahazi. My sliced laser rifle has a max damage of 490 something without powerups and 5.4 speed, so that's definitely something. Though the minimum damage of 72 hurts a lot.


I'm not so upset with riflemen only having one "uber" weapon though. Pistoleers only really have one uber weapon... the FWG 5. All the others suck in comparison. Scatter pistols, lest we forget, are Bounty Hunter only, and launcher pistols are Commando only. Now if you want to argue that bounty hunters and commandos should get a rifle-like weapon as well, then that's a different story. But frankly, at least we have an uber weapon. Carbineers don't get jack... the laser carbine is really the best thing they have. The same could be said for TKA, Fencers, and Swordsmen. And pikemen... well, given the insanely low accuracy of their weapons, it's questionable if you could claim any of their weapons are worth wielding.


So, our problem isn't lack of weapons really. Between the SG-82's buggy use of control units and the lack of Gallinorian rainbow gems on many servers, I'd say our problem is more a lack of non-bugged weapons.

We are a crappy profession untill you can get counter-sniping 3 (FlurryShot 2). No pest, get a brawler to attack the lair and in 3 or 4 shots the whole spawned mob is meat. At master you can shot that at about 1 or 2 seconds....heck yes.

Now mind you it is a long and lonely road here, with the better XP I can get with mobs with less chance of physical death means wonders. As for T21's not being so uber...1 word AP3!.
I have seen only a few mobs with heavy armor. Most have no armor or light. AP3 damage vs 0 armor = +50% more dmg.

Now if they only got that darn thing to work.......

Well, I've used my t21 vs bantha's b4 and for some reason I've seen it do like 80 damage.........

If you think pistoleer has no bugs or issues go take a look at thier boards lol. Its all a matter of preference and tactics. I would personally rather put a max distance/speed powerup on my t21 take cover and begin picking my enemies off before they even know where I am.

Such as take cover, flurry2, startle2, flushing2 twice and that folks is 5 to 9k HAM gone with minimal risk to you of being aggro'd and assuming you get some good shots off which is always a crapshoot.

And the best part is if they do aggro you in a mob you already are 60 to 70m away and able to hit peace and normal run away then go back for seconds and thirds until complete.
