Actually, strafe 2 and head shot 3 are relatively the same, well, maybe not, except strafe 2 is area.


Strafe shot 2 is a random pool attack, meaning that you will have a 3:2:1 ratio on hits. On average, for every 6 shots fired, 3 hit health, 2 hit action, and 1 hits mind.


This means that effectively, 50% of your attacks are hitting the health pool.


Even with the max damage on a T21 being around 700....


700 damage x 1.5(natural multiplier to all weapons) x 5(Strafe 2's multiplier = 5250


Since only half your shots are hitting health, you're really only doing 2625 max damage to the health pool.


Then the same with head shot:


700 damage x 1.5(natural) x 3 (HS3) = 3150 max damage


Just a little math I picked up in the pistoleer forum, I found it to be incredibly useful when choosing what attack to use.
