Some great responses, thanks. The reason I like Combat Medic is that I used to be rifle/doc but doc just isn't as useful anymore. I like the 2 minute snare/combat speed reduction.

This is my strategy, maybe you can help me. If its a jedi, I usually just try and hit em hard from 65m and hit em with a ranged snare so if they were caught by surprise, chances are I can incap before they realize whats going on. Provided that doesnt happen though, I will throw a paralyze, then rupture/electro drain then run and alternate startle/headshot. Then, if they get close, I paralyze again and run farther out, and heal while im running if i need to. Rinse wash and repeat. I like being able to hunt Jedi, it opens up alot more, for lack of a better word, "content", so thats why I keep BH4xxx.

Do you guys ever drop down and throw a sniper shot? Or is it really not effective?

I have heard people mentioning... I usually don't try it against Jedi because they usually are keeping an eye on the radar so they generally can see your approach, so you may not have enough time to set it up. But if you are lying in wait for them under cover I imagine it would be completely devastating.

I was wondering, how exactly does conceal shot work now? I used ot be able to conceal shot things to death but I tried to conceal shot a krayt (before patch) from 65m under cover and after 2 shots they both came running directly at me... I don't get the point.

the best strategy with conceal shot is 2x conceal shot followed by a snipershot as it creatures almost always break cover on the the third shot. If you move away from the creature 20m after each shot you do have a chance to do more conceals but general it is regening while you are moving and it really does not enhance your damage potential. I still can't argue with +900 + 900 +2900 damage for free before the target starts gets close to me...

i drop down 80m out pick out a target sometimes a jedi or a toon with about 1k health left, sniper shot x5 till it works... and BAM incapped, then i just spam headshot till i get the tripple. (this is large scale pvp, not little groups of 3 or so, if it were 3 guys id just use concussion on the 2 others and focus on 1 guy)

Master Ranger/Master Rifleman here. My hunting strategy is as follows:

1)Log on.

2)Sit in Theed cantina, chat with other rangers on the RIN.

3)Log off.

4)Play guild wars.

Sometimes I sit outside of theed starport instead. Seriously, I haven't bothered to hunt much lately. With onlyfive specials in the rifleman prof (compared to 8 for pistoliers and carbineers, and 6 for BH's), only oneseems useful at the moment. Can't wait to see what I can do after the rifle fix, though.
