Thread: How does someone shoot once a second with a master?

I completly agree with you newjedi, rifle should be slower and doing more damage, as pistols should be faster doing less damage per hit. Right now rifle are fast as you say but they don't do the most damage. It may look that way but there are pistol moves that has much better multipliers then any of the rifle moves torso shot *cough* *cough*. The bounty hunters can keep there dps,Ijustwant a littlemore diversity so that all weapons isn't as fast with as much damage. If the devs are redoing the speed system, hopefully they correct the other things at the same time.

The real problem is the way they do weapon speed in this game. It's just stupid. At +50, divide your speed by 2. At +90, divide by 10. At +95, divide by 20. At +98, divide your speed by 50. At +99, divide by 100. At +100? Divide by infinity! So your speed will be 0, and no matter what special move you use, you're just multiplying by 0, so it doesn't matter.


It's just a bad system. You should never be able to divide your speed (or anything in the game) by infinity... and you shouldn't be able to have a negative weapon speed. It should be something like for every 50 points you get, your speed gets cut in half. So at +50, divide by 2. At plus 100, divide by 4. At 150, divide by 8. You'll never be dividing by infinity this way (yeah those numbers might not be the greatest, but whatever).


I personally think maybe they should cap rifles at 2 seconds or something. And maybe automatically give us the /aim bonus for every shot. Hey, amazing: someone who shoots slower, but is insanely accurate! A RIFLEMAN!!! (oh yeah give us more damage too).

Actually you can get pistols with better damage than any rifle, on average, and faster speed to boot, AND the pistoleer/BH combo actually gets more than 100% pistol speed.


If anything is broken it's carbineers. Pistols can hit as hard as rifles and shoot just as fast, carbines are the only ones out in the cold.


Even a master TKA can hit consistantly for 2500 damage at a rate of once per second.

Found this in the pistoleer forum, one ofem went and brought up raw data from a number of trials.

But hey he ACTUALLY sat down and ran all those tests I was impressed.



Also theres a thread on the Pistoleer forum regarding high end FWG5s that are maxing out for 550 dmg 1.2 speed sliced and powered up. That hurts...


I cant make it to master Rifleman because Im a Bio Engineer, not enough SP,I picked rifleman to stay back out of the fighting and still do some dmg...

This is what I'm talking about, if you remove the current speed bonus and just factor in the weapons damage and speed that FWG5 would blow ANY rifle away for DPS.
