Thread: No Excuse for t21 still being broken

Perhaps it may not be a programmatic delay, but more of a balance issue of fixing the rifle. Perhaps a master rifleman with a sliced T21 would be hitting far too hard to remain balanced in PVE and PVP?

As a database programmer, the actual change may be trivial - but the consequences may have game altering effects.

---

BUT, as a T21 owner - I really do wish they would do something. ;-)

I think mine has an ideal range of zero, along with thezero armour rating. Just picked mine up last night, thing takes forever to shoot. But it looks like a piece of artillary

50 credits says when they fix it. It will only be on newly crafted ones.

I have this awful feeling that when holo posts his answers today he will say they are working as intended.

unless my math is wrong IF they fix the T21 and the PVP damage reduction goes in wont we still be hitting for the same or a little more then we are now in PVP?

Depends if they are wearing armour or not I think. Currently the bonus for being above AP0 isn't working on people not wearing armour so we will be doing the same damage as nowminus the 75%.

Currently if the person is wearing armour then you lose 50% damage because the T21 is AP0plus whatever the resist is. If they fix the T21s AP you do not lose the 50% from armour and then gain50% for being AP3 vs AR1.

Kind of undoes the 75% damage reduction, BUTif BH are getting thier special moves boosted **edit** shouldn't we.

All this is gathered from other peoples posts so it could be wrong.

If you read Holos recent posts they only hotfix exploits, server / client crash, item loss and game breaking bugs. All other stuff has to wait for the monthly(seems like 6 weeks to me) patch. So we are looking at another month at least until the T21 is fixed if it's not in the big patch this week.

I think the major issue here is that if the code was NOT written to allow for simple changes like this to be done by simply updating a db field, then the code is inferior and it should not have been written that way.

I'm sure the devs are smart guys (and gals), perhaps there is some different issue involved that is preventing them from fixing this.

On Gorrath we can't even get a T21 yet. This is the first time with this game that I am to the point where I really don't want to play it for a while. I spend all this time trying to get to Riflaman. Being a good sniper is the only thing I really want to do well in this game the rest of it is Ok but not why I play it. So I get Rifleman and I cannot even buy a T21 and when I can it is broke. When I group with all my other guild members I can put a good bleed on things with my Laser Rifle and fire fast with the Spraystick but I am no match for the pistoleers, carbiners. They clean up in XP. I like soloing and that usually goes pretty well but for me to be helpfull in guild hunts I would have to have an un-nerfed T21 plain and simple.
