If you could do this, why would you need XP?

Because the title of the post says where is the best XP vs. Time a Master Rifleman can get Xp. He wants it to convert Combat XP into Forse Sensitve XP. I'm responding to the question, probably the rest of you should do the same.

In my testing on TC2, you convert left over skills from your professions into Forse Sensative XP. Combat XP converts last time I was on about 3 combat xp give you 1 Force sensative Xp. The regular rifle xp would converts about 30 to 1. So it in theory might be faster to grind out your early forse sensative xp with your fighting class if you can get a real good rate of XP per hour. As a master, I'd put my money on the geo caves, because of the spawn rate.

I would have to reccomend rancors, with low level creatures such as huurton stalkers and quenkers you will kill the lair before they get a chance to heal it so will only get 5-6 creatures per lair, with rancors you will probably get more creatures per lair as the lair takes more damage and they are better at healing, I would think whichever you choose the best strategy would be to start at 64m AOE attacking the lair, then move out of range and kill the spawns so you get the full 3 spwans from the lair. Another benefit of rancors is that if you have scout you can get a lot of scout xp from one rancor, from my calculations you can get about 330 combat fs xp and 250 senses fs xp from a single rancor

hmmm... to put it in prospective you're lookin for the most effective exp to time ratio...

so i tested on tc2 along with others... i only found the guy in the village on dath that converted exp (is there others???)

so i'm basing this on the exp guy thats on dath...

take into account the starport waits, and time to ride to and fromthe geno caves... add in the fact the geno caves are gonna be packed... so i'd count thoase as out...

the DWB well its too slow to kill the SBD's to make it worthwhile (but its alot of fun there)... endor is a great place for exp, but there is alot of things that poision or disease ya there... plus shuttle waits...

tat has fort tuscan, but wait till the observer comes out and kills everything in site... plus that will be well camped too...

dant has quenkers, mokk's and pickets... (if good herb meat is there that sould be my choice)... but it seems like i can't find many wild spawns (so waist of time to and from mission terminals)...

naboo well if ya are rebal you got the weapons dept, ya farm FP too... other than that nothing worth your time...

cor... what is there anyways????

lok has gurks... blus alot of other things that die easy and give good exp... many wild spawns too... but its far away from dath... starport waits...

talus... torturs and muntant kamuras, and GSP's thats about it for exp there... losta wild spawns, but many low lvl mobs that aren't worth lookin at...

that leaves dath... rancors and baz nitches... easy to find wild spawns, the village is there, and no extra wait times...

so if there is an exp exchange guy on every planet my choices would be endor (its pretty), then dath, then dant... just be ready for a long grind...

and to answer the question about if the exchange is gonna be there... it will be, just the rates might be a lil different than what was in tc2... the way its set up is so that every profession has a chance to get FS abilities through the exp trade in... but the exp you exchange can only be used in certain areas of the force...

I am the type of rifleman that likes to travel and never stick to one spot, I hate doing missions, I only go after wild spawns. While traveling from planet to planet, I was able to try many things, some came out in utter failure while others, turned out to great xp!

First there's Dantooine -Your crowded laggy planet where solo groups are always being formed, people are always shouting for buffs, and there is always that occasional dark jedi that shows up at the mining outpost and dominates your lame arse lol. While here I found that wild spawns were usually peoples missions and they'd whine at you for killing them. Pickets gave good xp 3500+ while grouped with my droid. Quenkers gave 3200 xp, Hurrtons 850, and all the other Hurrtons 3000+xp usually. Bols 3000+ xp.In my opinion - not a good place if your looking for wild spawns....

Then there's Endor - While here I found this is a very nice place to stay, very good looking planet and LOTS of wild spawns. Boar Wolves gave good xp along with there blood frenzied brothers...grouped with pet again Boar Wolves gave 3000+xp while blood frienzed gave 4000+xp. Gurreks of all kinds, also good xp 3000+ while lantern birds gave 1800 xp. Mantingues ( sp ? ) gave good xp maybe 4000+. I hungout here for awhile collecting carnivore meat.....I got real good xp maybe 300k xp an hour.

Dathimor - Overall this is my favorite place to just drive 1000m out and store the swoop. Baz nitches of all kinda uber xp 3000+. Nightsisters, Singing Mountain Clan all good xp. Rancors, Bull rancor, rancor youth all good xp in the valley where they all spawn - I found this to be a good spot to farm xp.

Tatooine - Squill Caves are great xp but OVERCAMPED. Fort Tusken good fun but OVERCAMPED.

Naboo - Nothing here that I can recall maybe shauputs 3000xp.Not my idea of exciting.

Yavin -Geo caves is really good xp and deicent loot but it again is OVERCAMPED.The wildlife itself I can't say much bout...I'm drawing a blank lol.

Corellia - Wouldn't reccomend.....

These places mentioned above were all during the grind and after. This is my second time grinding rifleman and I'm having a blast.

Just my 2 cents...

the sad thing that i see dath becoming what dant is now... solo group this, i need buffs that... instead of 1k out it'll have to be more like 7k down near the desert (i never see anyone down there)... if there is a good shirt of herb meat thats the place to be malock plainswalkers...

Just look back on the rifleman forum for the guy who said he did rifleman from scratch in what was it......24 hours or sumthing....rofl....those mobs must of been spawning out of his a** non stop.

I defo found dathomir to be useful, you could take a couple of ranc missions and kill stuff on the way out and back, so you are hitting mobs with as few gaps inbetween as possible. Its training, buffs and sittin at your pc too long fatigue/real life, that slows you down.

Anyone actually know for a fact what will be implimented? Or is it all subjective rabble?

Yes, it will be implemented. For proof, check TC.

The only debate remaining, from what I can tell from the TC update notes, is the conversion rate of XP to FS XP for the different types of XP.

Have a look at the "In Testing" forum and read the update notes. Very interesting stuff there about what will be coming to live when Pub 10 drops.

Take care,

Guru

It shouldn't take you 24 game hours to master rifleman. If it took him that long, then he was doing something wrong. ANY combat class, with the possible exception of TKA because of the novice grind, should take you somewhere between 9-15 hours of total game time if you know what you are doing and which trees you should go up and where to hunt, etc. If you are not getting your combat classes that fast, then I will detail out what you should do.
