Thread: Am I the only one who think that the rifleman tree is leveling quite fast ?
Rifleman took me2 days of dedicated play to master.
Here are some advicesthat most players already know but for the new players out there - this is for u:
* Dantooine
* Buffs -always
* Brandy -dito
* A friendly CH on Dant - to be explained, keep on reading.
* Pickets - poor animal
* T21 - yes I got a 586dmg DXR-6 as well but a standard 450dmg T21 is better and not as expensive 
* Flushing Shot2
How to do it:
Find a friendly CH (or be 1 yourself), have him BEFRIEND (thats the keyword here) 1 FAST (another keyword)creature to you with high kinetic res (i used 1 narglatch with 60% kin and 10k HAM). Go to a nearby doc and BUFF your creatureso it regenerates (stam/con). Well health/action will of course help as well. Dont forget to buff the pet, unless u wanna spend time healing the damn cat. If it is buffed it will regenerate between missions. I cant stress this enough ...
If u dont have Flushing 2
Go and find savage quenkers missions.
Wip out your SPEEDER bike (not swoop)- the cat will be able to keep up with the Speeder but not with the swoop. Find the mission.
Locate yourself on 60m from the lair, find a oogly quenker, send in the cat and when he is aggroed - kill them bastards.
If you have Flushing 2.
Go find Picket missions.
Do the speeder trick to the mission. Set the Cat on the LAIR - wait for all the pickets to aggro the cat. Then u just use Flushing2 on the Lair and the Lair only until all is dead. Rince and repeat.
Voila - you are master rifleman.
I rememberrifle used to be hard to level up, but now it is one of the easiest professions. I just trained my guildmember in sniping 4, concealment 1 and 2 last night in a 2 hour time span. He leveled me up from Novice brawler to novice pikeman in the same period of time. I think he liked having me tank piket and volitor lairs for him.
It helps having that 300k combat to start with to go 3 up the speed tree and get an aoe attack right off the bat. Granted flurry2 is pretty weak, but when you have a TKM pissing off everything in sight and keeping up to 8 targets in your cone you level up fast.

I hunt savage qunkers on dantooine, I hunt rancors with ONE other person (which we have no problem doing cause he does all the damage.. damn heavy swordsman), I'm buffed, I do mission after mission and barely see the level monitor go up even a single notch.. yes I am getting the system measege that I'm getting the exp, it just seems to be taking me for bloody ever to level in this prof.
While my rifle slowly weeps..

well it's your buddy sucking xp
swordsmen do mind damages just like riflemen, so he's dealing the same damage as you, you should get 4k xp/rancor if you hunt in a group and if you're the only one to hit mind pool, drop around 3k if there's another same level rifleman or swordsman.
you get nothing if hunting with a master heavy swordsman or master rifleman
