With my doc toon helping my main, i solo krayts dragon. Cant solo an ancient, but i did giants, canyons and those jouveniles are too easy. I do the geo cave in 30 mins.

Rifleman, TKM , Marksman, 0/0/3/0 Commando

TKM i dont use much, but the meditate line is too good to pass it.

Master marksman is vital for riflemen without skill tapes, for that +5 rifle speed. A t21 with a 7.9 speed fires every 2.054 secs with +90 speed from master rifle, and at 1.07 with +95. Many ppl dont know this, but every point in speed after 90 is exponential.

Also, from master marksman i use a blaster and i bleed.

Comando is just perfect for fire dots, thats all i use it for. Get a flame thrower and slice it for speed, will be 3.1 with a 30% speed slice.

Bleed, fire, and strafe2 every sec is a powerful combination.

I was hoping for some suggestions on whether to go Fencer or Swordsman with Master Rifleman?

I do not like the Teras Kasi profession and prefer to use swords in combat so Fencer/Swordsman arethe two I am considering.

Swordsman seemed a natural fit at first because it does mind pool damage and this would seem to complement Rifle mind attacks well. But I am not big on armor and so the defense of Fencer might work.

I do plan on going 4 0 0 0 TK to get the meditate line. Can I get some suggestions on rounding out this template with Fencer or Swordsman? Which works best PvP and PvE.

Thank you so much!

Master Rifleman/Master Swordsman/Master Brawler is awesome in PvE. I wear non-ubber armor and, when buffed, have stood toe-to-toe with 5 Enraged Rancors simultaneously, killed them, and, afterwards, healed myself for something like 46 health. In PvE, I almost never use my rifle. But when I do, I start out at range, and start firing head shots. IF they get to me, I switch to Swordsman and finish off what little mind they have left. Of course, I can do the same thing with Random pool attacks as well.

The thing to understand about this combo is that it is oriented towards offense, not defense.Swordsman has AP2 weapons, and plays a lot like Rifleman. As I have said before, switching into Swordman "mode" is a lot like grabbing the barrel of your T21 and beating them to death with it. However, being that it is offensively oriented, you pick up some defense modifiers, but not as much as other professions.

In PvP, this means that you will be a little more susceptible to Dizzy/KD than some other builds, but properly prepared, this is not as big a deal. For instance, I went into a base after a couple of TKs. Pulled out the Hammer and killed one of them. I then went after the other, and got Dizzy/KDed. But because I was buffed, armored, and centered, he was not doing muchdamage. After a while, and because others were coming, he chose to run, but the dizzy wore off right at that moment. I simply got up, jogged calmly outside, and picked him off with my rifle as he ran. Not all encounters end this well, but you can survive even the dreaded Dizzy/KD.

Rifle gives you flushingshot and flurryshot to stun and dizzy them. If they are dizzy, you can switch to sword and (with Master Brawler) Lunge2 to do your own Dizzy/KD. Hit3 and Area3 also can dizzy. And with Master Brawler, you havea blind, two more stun attacks, and another Dizzy as well as the ability to target action and health as well.

In PvP, I use primarily Rifle with Swordsman as a backup. In PvE, I use primarily Swordsman with Rifle as a backup. I enjoy it a lot.

for PvE nothing beats Master RIfleman, Master CH, 3,0,4,0 medic. its that simple. i can pull up to lvl 56 missiosn with my pets and droid out and complete them without a hitch. i can solo a lot of places better then entire groups can do. and do so. indeed i often end up going back to same places where groups die by myself and do what the groups cannot.

for PvP i dont know, there are a lot of good choices. Rifleman/TKA, Rifleman/fencer i think are best ones. but if i was PvP i'd just go BH / Rifleman, or BH / TKA.

Pistoleer? I think we can all agree that pistols is a pretty easy/fast way to get a decent back up. I know going up through Rifles I could maybe lay 2 of my best shots on my target and then it would start in after me (not always, sometimes I could stay hid). But once it trained on me, tool bar switch to pistol and finish it off. That was so nice. A little slow but nice. But I tell ya what: I've seen some pretty good ideas here and makes me want to try those for a change.

I own in PvP and PvE - not to toot my own horn or anything

MCM / Rifle 4003 / Doc 0440

Headshot 3 - Mind poisons and diseases - Buffing - Rezzing

Your enemies will hate you - Your friends will love you.

That - and a Krayt Jawa Ion Rifle will be your best friend.

Eventually - I'm gonna drop Doc (my brother is Mastering it) and master Rifleman - with the MCM poisons/diseases and their terrain negotiation - along with all the MR benefits - Melee guys won't last long against you / or anyone else for that matter.

On my second toon I am experimenting with a Rifleman/Pikeman. Why? Because I like to clone! Actually it hasn't been too bad (PvE so far, not tested in PvP yet). I am working my way up the XPladder faster than I thought I would. I just sit and snipe until something gets too close and out comes my LVA and down itgoes.

The Novice Doc/4-4-3-4 CM/M. Rifles is the endgame template. KD/Dizzy Combo from Suppresion/Flurry. Poisons, Diseases, State Heals, 1.5k stims... You will never, ever die. It's simply the only viable alternative to PvP that the DEVs have left everyone.

On that note, I'm a Swordsman, Rifleman, Mbrawler and 0-0-0-4 TKA. This gives defence mods, head hitting power and 110 Counterattack.

I am Master Rifleman and finishing up Mastering Commando and it is just spooky how I cut through PVE no matter what I am fighting.

But commando was only because of the 'cron, and since it is my last one I now will go with what I want, and that is a toss up between CM and Doctor.

For pure PVE though CH is hard to say no to because all I personally need is something to get a mobs attention and keep it off of me for a few moments and it is over.

i have a strange template - master marksmen/rifleman (normal) + Squad Leader

I am a squad leader as most of my pvp is in a group - no one complains when i add +40 melee defence and ranged defence above the cap

so you 125'rs join with us Squad Leaders - become immune to Dizzy ^_^ and never take damage again!

125+40 = 165 melee/or ranged defence plus we can cure most states (not blind though T_T ) - of course the only drawback here is that i always have to be grouped to get the bonuses myself T_T and if I am dizzy i can't cure it (and as a SQL can never get doc skills T_T )

I'm a doc/rifler, and I do ok for myself in PvP.

I really like the swordsman/rifle build, but you may be better off with the Rifles/Fencer. Fencer gives insane defenses, and has a stun weapon. You shoot em till they get close, then bust the COB and a stun baton for a serious beating. It's not too pretty. You get some nice area attacks with fencer, so it's really handy.

Rifles/Pikes has potential to be great, but haven't really seen anyone try it out. The thought of area rifle dizzy combined with area pike KD has evil all over it, no to mention stacking of block. You would just have to be buffed ALL the time, due to pikeman hams. Imagine running into a battle, dizzy everything in a cone in front of you, then run in ans KD them all for a 2-5 easy kills; providing proper armor and preparation.
