That would be one of those times I would wish SWG was like Lineage 2 and could pop someone whenever you feel like it. It has it ups and down.

I get really tired of people whining in Fort Tusken. Most people are cool, but you get the occasional pricks that go in there, attack a warlord, and then get jumped buy another warlord and a captain and assume that since theyre working on the first warlord they have claims to the other two as well. Garbage. Just because a MOB aggroes on you doesnt mean you have the rights to it. Not until you actually attack it first. Just my opinion though. Everyone has different views on this subject.

I have only been hanging out in the Nightsister Labor camps lately, but the same thing happens there.

What I have been doing lately is I have my pike out and I tell whoever comes in or whoever is already there that I'm there to get loot and ask them if they want to group and take turns looting. Most of the people are pretty cool, but I have run into a couple swordsmen that refused. It is at that moment that I simply switch to rifle and SS2 everything. The way I look at it is that I offered a fair solution before hand and when they get pissed off (they always do) I tell them tough.

The only time this doesn't work are against protectors and spellweavers that resist energy, but at that point I just make sure I agro all of them and use area attacks with my pike. If they try to outdmg me on all of them they get none, but if they concentrate on one, they at least get rights on one of the Nightsisters.

Like I said, most people are understanding andwant to groupup and take turns looting. There are the few loot hogs out there that think they can outdmg anyone (just happens they usually have swords in the nightsister caves) and it feels really good to loot steal from these people .

Well, I would probably refuse your offer to join a group, but i would also steer clear of you, and go after my own mobs, probably down the other tunnel if you were in one. Would you still SS2 me, even if I didn't attack your mobs, simply becuase i was so uncouth as to decline your invitation? As it is, I make on pass through the labor camp, then I move on to other ns spawn regions. it just take to darn long for those pretties to spawn in the labor camp to justify hanging around for very long.

As an aside, say you're using SS2, and I'm using HS3. You outdamage, but i am responsible for the creatures death. Who gets the looting rights? Who *should*?

I think very little kill-stealing goes on a Fort Tusken. Are you sure everyone there was just a levelling noob? In my experience, there are usually two types of players there- veterans who are grinding a combat profession and combat profession masters who are looking for loot(Tusken clothing, crystals, DoT weapons, etc.). In my book, the lack of actual new players makes this more of a free-for-all. Besides, as a Master Carbineer, most everything there was a 1-shot kill up to maybe a minute for the tougher ones. As a Master Rifleman, things are even easier. When it takes so little effort to kill something, it can be difficult to back off soon enough when you do catch yourself attacking someone else's target. When that happens, you can only apologize and move on. They may(and probably will) shout obcenities at you, but that doesn't make them a good person or you a bad one, so don't let it bother you.

Fort Tusken has always and likely will continue to be a site of great controversy no matter what. Worrying about whether or not you or anyone else is a 'kill-stealer' probablyisn't going to resolve things. That's unfortunate, but as long as you are there to have fun and not purposely upset anyone, you're ok by me

This needs to be fixed. Recently, a friend and I had been working on a NS Elder for a short time. Her mind was down to half or less and it's Health and Action were still mostly there(80%?). Another MR came along and started spamming SS2. I thought we had nothing to worry about since the Elder's Mind was aleady beyond half gone. We finished her Mind and she still had maybe 20-25% left in both Health and Action. Guess who got looting rights- the guy with no strategy

I personally try to steer clear of attacking mobs with strafe2 at fort tusken when I know I will kill someone elses target due to the cone. You can usually just use headshot3 in those cases and take your target(s) out just as fast without having to worry about killing someone else's target. And, I've still gotten a few nasty tells when I accidentally kill someone's target. In those cases I just briefly apologize and move on. And to be honest, the majority of folks that know the power of riflemen and are at all realistic about the crowds at Fort Tusken and how hard it is to not accidentally engage someone else's targets are few.

The CSR email I got about it didn't say anything about a banning, all it said was that the player was talked to, and the problem received an appropriate solution (whatever that may be.) But I did add him to my friends list, and either he didn't play all that often for the nextweek, or he got a temporary ban.

It wasright before my week off from work, so I did pump quite a bit of time intoSWG the next week and didn't see him at all.
