Thread: Can this template solo krayts

this template will work fine... unless your armor is pathetic, you can stand next to the krayt for as long as you mind holds, plenty of time to apply your speed debuff, and run in circles, CM snare is very long, so you shouldn't even have to do this more than once anyway.

I always run in and do a KD before breaching 10 meters. Then once within range I apply a Paralyze as quickly as possible. Also - Paralyze doesn't last anywhere near a minute. It's somewhere around 15 seconds (not sure of the exact number) but it's definitely nowhere near a minute.

your not going to have a problem with juvinials i can tank them with cm heals so doc mr shouldent have a problem
however i think your gona have a realy hard time with anything bigger
as said above rifles snare [kneecapshot] realy isnt very good so i doubt you will be able to use the snare and walk method
do you have any other skills maby some pistols because youll have a much better shot at it with the root from pistols

hehe guess my sence of time gets a lil distorted with a krayt infront of me but your right i just tested it
paralise = 15 seconds
startle = 2 seconds
as for the kd before paralise that would work but pistols kd only works from 4m so im guessing you have carbines or bh but personaly gona keep pistols for the ranged speed and deffence stacks

I personally use startling shot first so that i can quickly run into paralyze while he cant attack me, then I put the debuffs and maybe root him for a moment if the paralyze doesn't last long enough. Then its just a caseof taking off his health until he goes down.


As a tip with the ancients, in my opinion its not worth the risk to try and run in and debuff. I use root to stop him the apply my burn and poison, and then just run around it as ancients aren't as fast as other krayts.

Im a Master Riflewookiee/ Master Ranger. I find that template great for soloing krayts, real good for grouping too. I just make a about 30 snaring traps and traps to reduce its combat defense. I can take em out pretty easy, just a bit time consuming. I also found out that when i wear a camoflauge kit, i can conceal shot the krayt, hittin usualy around 1020, and he will never move. I dont know if its a bug or if its checking my camo cover every time i shoot it, but quite a few times ive killed ancient krayts by just shooting it from afar. I just keep on snarring him, each trap lasts 20 seconds on the snare.

i'm M.rifles, CM 44x4, BH44xx and i solo anchients - it just takes time.


my method:


1) run up and apply paralyse - normally i'mlucky and apply it before it hits me.


2) apply electrolyte drain - it'll never catch me now!


3) apply tyroid rupture - incase it gets too close so i don't get hit the x2 it takes to kill me


4) run in circles (away from other krayts) for about 2min then as my elec drain & thyroid end go back to No 1)


5) repeat untill krayt is dead - or it decides to run at you and you heal like a b@stard unitill you can get paralyse on again


main problem is once you do it once it gets a little boring - takes a long time!


thinking about it, i do the same with SBDs (lvl 92 i think)in the DWB solo only using thyroid rupture and lots of food! as they shoot at you, you can just stand still!

the key really is thyroid rupture - it seems to stick on almost everything and then the mob hits every 5 sec or more.

hard to work out where a SBD's thyroid is mind....
