I think if you get too close, the MOB will see you and the concealshot won't do you any good. Even if you back off to 55-60 meters after they see you.

I've been aggro'd using cover. Take cover doesn't give any bonus to being aggro'd (as it rightfully *bleep* well should), only to ranged defense. Some people will debate this, but the majority seem to be on a consensus that it does not, and it doesn't seem to in my experience either.
Weird. I just recently made Novice Rifleman and ever since I received Take Cover my normal procedure is to go prone, take cover, take aim, squeeze off three HS2s with my laser rifle and usually the creature is dead by then. I use Take Cover to prevent social creatures from aggroing me.
I even tested it out. When I took the above steps without Take Cover, I drew the attention of the entire lair with my first shot (unless I was able to kill the target with the first shot, then no one noticed me). When using Take Cover, I can squeeze off three shots before drawing anyone's attention, including the target's. This held true for creatures and NPCs.
So is this what "ranged defense" means? Can Take Cover and Conceal Shot be used together?

Ranged Defense makes it harder for opponents to hit you with a ranged attack. Most creatures like to run right up to you and bite, scratch, lick, whatever, so it doesn't help much there. Against other players, Stormtroopers and such, it is much more useful

Take Cover and Concealshot can be used together, but they do not provide you with any proven bonus through doing so.

When people say conceal shot to death, does that mean they.. just spam conceal shot from a range? or conceal shot/peace/concealshot/peace? (im about to kill melichae)

The way I understand it, if you stand, your chance of detection is greatest. If you kneel, it is less. If you prone, it is lowest.

Yep that makes sense. When I tried a GDK and Cas I used my dxr6 and spammed conceal shot at Cas while standing. He agroed me after about 5 conceal shots and I had to kite. Oh well, still killed both of them......

i have recently been told ( and it proves to be true ) that if your tragets gets a bleed - this will aggro ( otherwise the Krayt Graveyard would be full of conceal shot riflemen )
so keep your bike handy and a clearcombatqueue / peace macro handy !.
as i couldnt work out why the eldar i was slowly taking down kept running over and belting me !
