Hey, what's wrong with mouth breathing!?

anyway... I have the opinion that the devs should fix the vulnerabilities using the current system on the live servers. This seems like it would affect the game, as a whole, the least to the player/consumer. Many of us have learned how to accomplish combat within the rules that are set for the moment (some not that well, "Hi, my name is AvengingJawa and I cannot kill crap"). A complete overhaul of the system (beta 4, if you will) will require a new understanding of the entirety of the game machanics. I like Vol's idea of making the vulnerabilty into a percentage and having the whole (1+x) in the equation. It seems to be fit into the logic of how resistences work. This would generate a kind of on a continuum.

Resistence ========>No effect=========>Vulnerability

Resistences are already treated on a rough continuum, vulnerabilities should be as well. A change from bi-variate logic to some thing a bit more fuzzy. Fuzzy Logic is always better.

I think that implementing a new system for combat in the 1/2a year after the game has been released is not a good idea. Tweaking it to work more like what it was intended seems okay,I guess.
