That's in my vault too. A NoTig original, hand crafted I believe the thing is so old. I hit master marksman before climbing up the rifleman tree (was thinking of going commando then I realized what commando was) so I already had the pre-req, but I had enough pistol and unarmed xp by the time I hit the halfway mark in rifleman to get dirty fighting 4 in smuggler. God it's funny anymore but I was a pistol machine when I was working on rifle xp just to stay up to snuff

Agree with Issik! I remember getting warp/incapped by bocatts and other fuzzy critters that should have been dead before turning around. Do any up and coming riflemen still use Warning Shot like we did in the old days when leveling? Or has armor and buffs made the yo-yo maneuver obsolete?
Ahh the yo-yo...My old speed sliced E-11 served SO well.
Anyone remember switching to a speed sliced scout pistol to yo-yo things??

I was on Rori the other day helping out a friend with harvesters and recalled when we had to use the yo-yo maneuver to take on the tortons without having them stomp you into the ground. Back then you hadto go prone for the best accuracy as we hadn't been adjusted. Even thinking of that made me recall being able to use my Tusken Rifle and deal kinetic damage against tortons as it was my best damage weapon at the time.

I recall having either an FWG5 or Scout Blaster on my hot bar and would immediately change out to that right after the creature would do its warp to 100m away as within the next few seconds it was guaranteed to warp right on top of me. Sometimes I was quick enough other times I was a bit too slow for the warping agro.

Just the name "Rori" brings tears to my eyes. I had never played an MMORPG before SWG and so came in not having any idea what to expect. I picked Scout as my character as all I really wanted to do was explore the universe (what a Noob!). When I was asked where I wanted to start, I looked over all the planets and starting cities to try andfind the place that would have the least crowd. I picked Narmle on Rori. I remember venturing 20m outside the gates and killing Nightspiders,Chubas, and Squallsfor experience -- "MAN THIS IS AWESOME!". Eventually I got brave and wandered out further and took on Ikopis. I was on Rori for at least two months before I got brave and decided to travel. I eventually settled on Tatooine and have only been back to Rori twice since the early days, but it will always have a place in the corner of my heart.
The most awe-inspiring moment of the game also occured on Rori. After a week or two, I had gotten brave and had actually learned how to use the shuttle to go to Restuss in the opposite corner of Rori. I had figured out how to set a waypoint, but all that appeared on the screen was a colored arrow pointing in the direction (there was no meter to say how far it was). I had set a waypoint in Narmle and had traveled to Restuss. Forgetting where I was, I decided to return to the waypoint and starting "chasing the arrow" which happened to be across the planet. I ran, thinking at any minute I would get there, but I just get going farther and farther. Animals started appearing that I had never seen before. I came over a hill and ran right into a herd of Tortons! I think I actually said "Shiit!" out loud! At that time I was probably a newb scout with barely any marksman skills. By the way, I did finish the run across the map ... took me 40 minutes I think... but I was so proud of myself! LOL.

Recalling being a n00b
Brings a tear to my eye as I too recall my first weeks on Tatooine, running from city to city not realizing that shuttles were a better choice. The group hunts with other n00bs and teaching each other new features, all the wondering around and all the times you ran into other adventurers in the middle of nowhere then camping and exchanging stories... ahh the simple time.

The good ol days....When people actually looked at you and said, "You're a rifleman? BAHhahahhahahahahhaha."
And you were still proud.
The days when you weren't worried about some ub3r l33t jeedai striking you down, but instead, your fears were the meatlumps, and the occasional swoop gang.
...Before the dark times...Before the hologrind.

Ahhhh, the found memories of days when all rifles came with a bayonet on the stock instead of the barrel.
