Before I even started to play SWG I decided to be a riflemen/something else. I followed the path and it was extremely hard since the game had just started. I mean...we were hunting rontos in huge hunting parties for xp way back thenfor those of you who can remember. Now, with PvP and PvE evolving so much classes and professions must also evolve and change. I am currently happy with being a riflemen...having mastered the profession after the long trek. All I really want to see is how this new combat system is going to effect the way we play and the role we function as in the game. What I would like to see first is of course some of the redundant specials fixed...that is the only thing that really bothers me right now. I agree that being a hybrid would be the easiest path for the devs to follow and so that is what I think that they will do. It does not sound bad because like Xaverri said, if riflemen were given say radar invisibility and real range like a true sniper...it just would never be fair to the other players. There are already enough people who think we are the end all be all class in the game. Maybe itwould be possible to give us a slightly extended range and have the shots take say 3x as long from the longer range...I dunno. But...I have enjoyed this game for a long time and since day 1 of the game itself I have had a rifle in my hand, and that just won't change no matter what.

I do understand about the rader visiblity, what i dont understand is why cant they increase th range to 80m range, as with turrets? Also if laying prone/undercover damage done to target should be much greater at max range than while moving, not the same. I would gladly sacrifice shots fired for higher damage(if in cover)
im realitively new to rifleman, but that is my 2 credits.

Currently, while things may show up outside of 64 meters, they do not have to(I guess). We have to just sit and be patient. Yeah, I know....

I very much agree with his idea. I totally think there needs to be a radar concealment for rifleman, and more long range( my idea maybe 75 meters instead of 64).
I think it would be awesome to get these perks to kinda make the sniper role come in

No longer stickied- are these questions unimportant to the Devs now? Wouldn't be that surprised, butthey should at least say something about it...
