Thread: ALR or trando hunting rifle?

i just got my hands on some +181 dmg tissue and am going to have a rifle made. Was curious which one you thought would be better. Can a crafted trando match stats on an advanced laser?I only have 5 tissues so the t21 is out, and i won't be a MBH forever so i don't want to waste them on the new lightnening rifle either...

Trando most likely, but you might want to ask a weaponsmith how many tissues it uses.

with those tissues your gun will be VERY close to mine

mine was made with 187 Tissues. once i got it sliced level 1 damage and level 2 speed i got this
2.81speed

and i still can do one more speed slice hopefully getting it to a low 2.7
There IS word out on a Craftable Trando Rifle and IF it can use Tissues i think you might want to save those Tissues JUST in case.

just re-read your post and i see your asking about the diference VS the CRAFTED trando. my bad. well at least now you have an Idea of what kind of ALR your going to get with those Tissues

Before you make any decisions, run over to the weaponsmith forums and ask them what they can do with them. If you want to know what's gonna be best for you ask them, they are the experts. Also, they will have the stats on what the trando or laser will come out at just about exactly. Plus you can find a person on your server who can make it for you if you look in their WS list thread.

heres the link to one that was Crafted. i think that your bettter off makeing a ADL with those tissues.

The Trando also requires a looted schematic and special looted barrels to make. If you go with the Trando, you'll have to find a WS that actually has the schematic (not many seem to yet), and get ahold of a barrel. Otherwise I think the stats are about the same between Trando and ALR. Though, imo, the Trando looks better.

thanks guys....went with the ALR since i didn't have any trando barrels......here it is with a speed slice:
Speed 2.3
dmg 466-1151
wound 14.9%
acc +14
base dps 340
SAC 84
with a speed pup i get 904 mod dps

I use a Trandoshan Hunting rifle, simply because I dont have 3mill to buy an uber Advanced Laser Rifle. Advanced Laser Rifles can be better, but it will also cost a lot.

Just an FYI from someone that's both one of the top custom order smiths on our server, and a master rifleman...
The crafted trando rifle and the ALR have basically identical stats. So you could have done either one with the same basic results, any variation by type would be so insignificant that it wouldn't even be worth baseing your decision on. However since you didn't have any trando barrels it made sence to go with the ALR, though personally i would have waited for a trando barrel for those tissues just because I like the look of the trando rifle much better.
Pretty good stats on that rifle but i would have had them max out your damage first, then SAC and lastly worry about speed. Speed will help increase your DPS pretty significantly but ultimately DPS has a very minor impact on how you do. Max damage and SAC are what determine how hard you hit and how often you can hit using specials.
With 181max tissues on my server I would have expected to hit the damage cap or darn near close to it. Damage cap on those rifles is 1184max. I made an ALR that hit basically 1140 Max / 82 SAC and it only used like 140max tissues. Ultimately however as long as you are happy with the rifle now that's really all that's important.

How many tissues does a Trando require? Think I recall reading 3 somewhere, but not sure..
